Was definitely beautiful would recommend for anybody that’s going to bring people under 40 because the roads to get up to the house are steep or rent a 4 x 4 golf carts that can get up and down the hills but the house is amazing. The views are amazing. The house is perfection

I’m not entirely sure I understand your comment regarding people under 40 years old, as my friends and I are all senior adults and we all enjoyed the property very much, as the young people do. It is true that the access road is somewhat steep and not recommended for golf carts; however, regular vehicles have no issues at all. I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon.

Memorable trip and can't wait to visit this property again!

If you want to do Costa Rica in style and in a comfortable and beautiful set up look no further than this house! Clean and beautiful house with amazing views. There were four of us that stayed here for 3 nights for my friend's 50th birthday and had an amazing time. They offer a driver and chef for the house and I highly recommend. Thanks so much for the great memories and hope to be back in the near future!! - Michael

A fantastic place for family to gather

We stayed here with a group of 6 adults and 5 children. It was an amazing place, set in a fantastic location. Lots of space in the house, the nicest pool we've ever seen and the most amazing view! It's set in an excellent location for enjoying the beach and visiting some of Costa Rica's best parks. The property manager Chris, the cleaners and the property owner were all fantastic! We had two dinners prepared by the recommended chef Randall Ruby and they were excellent. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.

Unbelievable home away from home

This is by far the best experience we’ve had traveling. Chris booked all of our excursions and gave us an itinerary making everything easy. We highly recommend using Chef Randall. He and his team cooked mouth-watering dinners for us each night. The house has incredible views and more than enough room and amenities for the 4 of us. It’s isolated and quiet for a very relaxing stay. We can’t wait to go again!

Big House!

I have rented a few houses in Costa Rica and this one as a great view. It is a very big house! The only negative if this is a problem for you is that the pool was very cold for The pacific side of Costa Rica. But once you where in after 2 minutes it was refreshing. We seen a lot of wild life in the area.

Stunning views and house!

We stayed as four adults and two children and loved our time here. Punta Leona is gorgeous and we especially love Playa Blanca. The views from the primary suite are unparalleled and we enjoyed many hours around the pool. We took advantage of the chef services one night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The only two elements I would note for guests is that it is an extremely difficult walk to and from the property so a vehicle is necessary unless you are really fit. Secondly, the lowest levelmisnnot air conditioned (including kitchen) so you may find it a bit warm. Otherwise, gorgeous and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Amazing House

This house is spectactular! We stayed here with our kids and another family in early April 2025. We enjoyed seeing more than 30 scarlet macaws each morning flying and roosting in the trees right beside the house, with the sunrise and mountains in the background. This is one of the only areas in Costa Rica where scarlet macaws can be found in the wild. We also saw a toucan and many iguanas on the property. The house is fantastic with all of the glass windows and lighted pool. The property manager Chris was great to work with and very responsive. We also enjoyed a great meal from Chef Sharlton. The property owner also provided passes to the nearby Punta Leona beach club, and we enjoyed using those pools, that property, and the beach shuttle as well. If you want a spectacular house surrounded by nature and wildlife, this is the house for you! We would book this again!

Absolutely spectacular house

This was bar none one of the most incredible homes my family has ever stayed in. In total, we had 13 people in our party - ranging from 79 yrs old to 15 yrs, and there was more than enough room to make everyone comfortable. The home itself was tremendous and there were amazing views all around as you are perched up on this vista looking over the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. We were greeted at sunrise by scarlet macaws and monkeys who were plentiful for the nature watchers in our group. My family generally ventured out to see the amazing sights and tours around the Costa Rica Pacific coastline, and we were always comfortable settling back in on the pool deck when we returned. The owner Juan and the manager, Chris, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. I highly recommend this home for a large family visiting.

Fantastic Birthday Week

A group of us (5 couples) stayed at this house in mid Dec to celebrate my birthday. The house is architecturally stunning and Juan has great taste in decorating the house with paintings and sculptures. The view from the house and the pool is breath taking and we had many wildlife (Macaw, Tucán, racoon, geckos, etc), come to visit. Some of our guest saw dolphins in the ocean while looking out from the pool deck. Chris is the property manager who was excellent in terms of communication and helped us arranging many aspects of the trip. We had chief Randall to cook dinner for the week. He and his team did an exceptional job including accommodating to couple guests GF/Dairy free diet. The walk from the house down to the beach was steep but made for a great daily exercise and playa Blanca was definitely worth the effort. Juan arranged free club access for all house guests which allows the access to playa Blanca.

First trip to CR

My family and my sister's family spent the week at this idyllic spot! Chris and Juan made sure that our stay was fantastic. Chris helped us book excursions and hooked us up with a chef for multiple meals. One week was not enough to visit all the sites in the country. The home was so beautiful we could have spent the week at the house around the pool and property. A short walk up the road and we visited with the capuchin monkeys as they returned home for the night. There was a pair of toucans that visited daily by the pool and scarlet macaws were constantly around! It was a magnificent vacation. As other reviewers write, the drive to the house is rough. I live on a dirt road, so I thought I would be prepared, but the short drive on the house road was scary the first time and the driveway is as steep as I have ever seen. If I could afford it, we would visit regularly.

Outstanding house!

Our family party of eight (ranging from 6 years to 76 years old) have had a wonderful holiday staying at Juan Carlos' amazing house. Set on a hill amidst the jungle and with spectacular ocean and beach views, the house exceeded expectations on every count - spacious, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, well equipped inside, with plenty of space and seating on the pool deck for relaxing, plus a lovely infinity pool offering a stunning outlook. A house with a real WOW factor. Big thanks to Juan Carlos and Chris, who were very helpful at every stage of our holiday and did everything they could to make our holiday successful. We hired a private chef to help us optimize our time at the house - great food, cocktails on the terrace, and a swim after returning. from excursions were particular highlights. Recommend a trip to Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve and a boat trip to Tortuga Island (we hired a private boat and caught fish, went snorkeling and had an exhilarating ride to and from the island). You do ideally need a 4-wheel drive vehicle - the road to the house and particularly the steep drive approach the house can get slippy during/after rain. So all in all a trip we enjoyed hugely and will remember forever.

Epic Property

When you combine a fantastic piece of real estate with luxurious accommodations and never ending views.... this is what you get. Juan Carlos and Chris went out of their way to make our stay memorable and fun. Chris has all the connections for local activities and was super responsive. Yes... we caught a lot of fish! We loved the house and location. It exceeded our expectations. What a comfortable and fabulous experience!

One of a kind place

It is a great place. The pool is great, the views are great, and the house is great. Tons of wildlife - we had monkeys, macaws, toucans, racoons, iguanas - all right at the house. The road up to the house is a bit rough for people who are not used to driving in Costa Rica - but after doing it a few times, you do get used to it. The location is good, but it does take some time to get out of the area - it is roughly 20 minutes to Route 34, so you will want to take that into account. Basically, the views and the privacy come at the expense of some time - but that is a tradeoff that we found to be a good one. Property management is extremely helpful.

The house is amazing

We had a fantastic time on this house. Amazing social spaces. Lovely pool. Everything looks like what you see on the pictures, I guess even better. The view to the beach is amazing as well. Definitely a great place to hide, rest and have a great time with a group of people. On rainy season I would recommend to use a 4x4 car to get up to the hill, but is not a big deal either if you are use to CR roads.

Beautiful Views in Punta Leona

Spent a week in Juan Carlos beautiful home with my friends and family. It comfortably accommodated our group of 11 adults! As one of the other reviews stated, a 4x4 vehicle would certainly be helpful but I recommend using the transportation that the property manager recommends or that of the excursions. The views were absolutely incredible!! Waking up to the view from the master bedroom will leave you in awe. We had a chef for the property for our stay and now I don’t know if I can ever vacation without one moving forward . The Property Manager Chris was always available to answer any questions and if there are any issues/concerns he will promptly address them. The owner of the house Juan Carlos was a great host and very kind!! I highly recommend staying at this amazing home if you’re looking to vacation lavishly while enjoying everything Costa Rica has to offer
