DESCRIPTION:
Sage Mountain Retreat is a property with plenty of old comforts! Nestled in the lake view neighborhood of Paradise Heights, this home is a stone’s throw away from the lake with easy access to boat rentals. In less than two minutes, you can get to some of Deep Creek Lake’s top restaurants, shops, and attractions, including the Garret 8 Cinema and famous Lakeside Creamery. With a short stroll down the road, you can enjoy a fantastic meal and great drinks at Dutch's and the Harbor Bar. And in five minutes, you can get to Deep Creek Lake State Park where you can spend the day swimming, kayaking, and picnicking with friends and loved ones. After a long day outdoors, come back home to enjoy a home-cooked meal in the spacious, open kitchen and living area with rustic, warm decor — or hop right into the outdoor jacuzzi. Later on, you can challenge your family to games of shuffleboard in the lower-level den or gather around the TV for a family movie night. And for lazy days after a weekend of excursions, enjoy peaceful seclusion on the wooded backyard patio where you can warm up around the fire with friends or cook out on the grill. Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sage Mountain Retreat. Its’ close proximity to Deep Creek State Park was a bonus. We had an issue with a faucet that would not turn off and, after calling for assistance, it was quickly addressed. We also had something pry open the top of the wooden enclosure holding the garbage bins. Not sure if this could be more firmly secured. Overall, it was a great visit. We would definitely consider coming to Sage Mountain Retreat again.

Nice Stay - Minor inconveniences

Place was amazing, clean, and well taken care of. Plenty of room! Only two small inconveniences - 1. There was only one outside trash can in the bear proof container, which was already full on arrival, leaving us little room to get rid of our trash during the stay. + slow response to online query about this issue. Call them to get a better response should you have an issue. 2. This isn’t anyone’s faults but the connector road that leads to the lake is closed (who picks the busy season to do this?) so plan for adding 10 to 12 minutes of drive time to go virtually anywhere. This hopefully doesn’t last long, but I’d double check before booking.

Family trip

Overall great property, clean, spacious, well equipped kitchen. Great location, minus the Glendale rd construction and detour. Would definitely stay here again!
