We had a great time staying at the cabin and found it to be a comfortable space for our group. Its convenient location meant we could get to nearby mountains and restaurants with ease but still have a quiet space to come back to at the end of the day. Communications with the host were quick and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Thanks for staying with us Tim and for being such great easy guests to host! So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you again in the future!
We had a lovely stay at this property. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4. The cabin was nicely appointed with comfortable beds, a nice hot tub, and well stocked kitchen. The location and view of Mt Abram was really nice. We skied several days at Sunday River and the 20 min drive was really easy. We would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful time. Weather was beautiful. We snowboarded, went cross country skiing and hiked with snowshoes! Finished the weekend with The Super Bowel! Planning to return next winter. Cabin was well kept and had everything we needed. Host was very efficient and quick to help and answer questions as needed.

Thanks Karon, your family was so easy to host! We love hearing when our guests enjoy the cabin and surrounding area as much as we do. We can’t wait to have you back next winter!!
Wonderful long weekend getaway! Beautiful weather and perfect cabin. Weekend was filled with snowboarding, hiking and snowshoeing. This was our 2nd stay here and will be planning a 3rd! Property host is friendly and quick to reply to any question or need. The only negative thing was that the Eagles lost the Super Bowl!!

Sounds like another wonderful long weekend of memory making Karon!! We love to hear how much you all enjoy getting out into the beautiful nature surrounding the area and making the most of all that it offers! We can’t wait to have you and your family again next year ☺️
We are a family of four (2 teenage boys) that wanted to go skiing and possibly enjoy other winter activities. We stayed for four days after Christmas. The cabin is located across the street from a ski area but we drove about 15 minutes to Sunday River. There were nice restaurants near by, bowling, and scenic hikes. We also took advantage of the jacuzzi too. The house was very clean and decorated with a cute mountain theme. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable with super soft sheets. The house was stocked with everything to feel a home away from home. We would recommend the mountain cabin and even return someday. Carly was an excellent host in every way!

Tina, thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review! You and your family were amazing guests and left the cabin in perfect shape. We absolutely love hearing how our guests enjoyed the cabin and the area, and are so happy you had a magical getaway at the mountain house. Hope to have you all back again in the future!
I stayed here with a few friends for a ski weekend. The house is fine—clean, accurately described, easy check-in. The owner has way to many rules outlining just about everything in the house. There is a full page of instructions around the hot tub, which we followed by adding the prescribed chemicals. After the fact, we were still charged an arbitrary fee by the owner to empty the tub. It feels like she is just using her guests to subsidize the costs of owning her house.
Again, nice place, but look elsewhere due to the owner not really "getting it".

Joe,
If you were an owner of a property you were renting out, you would Be doing the same exact thing to protect your property. Our listing states there are jacuzzi rules, we have you sign off on jacuzzi rules prior to your stay, and there is a very simple 1 page document to follow that is located on sight. Our listing also states there are cameras on sight. On the camera, as soon as you showed up your broke the house rules by showing up at our property with 6 guests instead of the 4 that you reserved with.Yet we let this slide instead of out reaching out about your breaking the rules as this was our first property booking on VRBO and were hoping to have a good experience like we have had on Air Bnb, where we have all 5 star reviews and are super hosts.
In addition to the first rule being broken 1) showing up with more guests then included in the reservation, then our external video cameras capture these additional house rules being broken: 2) your guests jumping in our fragile ski picnic table, 3) you & your guests using the jacuzzi with clothes on, 4) you & your guests smoking cigarettes on the deck and in the jacuzzi on Friday December 16 5) after your use of the jacuzzi on 12/16, no chemicals were added as the house rules state. It takes less than 1 minute to read the highlighted requirement Chemicals were not added until the night of 12/17. I also sent a VRBO message to try to avoid this situation to you and it was ignored until 12/17.
Your group of 6 guests (when you only reserved with 4) were partying the entire time and we didn’t even reach out other than to remind you about the chemicals in the jacuzzi to avoid it having to be drained. But you were too busy drinking and smoking to even follow those simple rules. We did not bother you at all during your stay, we simply billed you for the cost of our property maintenance company to drain and refill the jacuzzi due to your groups lack of ability to follow simple rules and guidelines. And because you were billed for not following the jacuzzi rules, you leave us a 1 star review? Because of your guests we will no longer rent to anyone with no reviews and will no longer use VRBO services as they refuse to remove your inaccurate 1 stat review which does not reflect accurately on your stay with us whatsoever.
The Mountain House was perfect for our 5 days of skiing at Mt. Abram. Walking to mountain every morning, skiing all day and then getting in the hot tub at the end of the day was heavenly!
