Older, modernized cottage with large terrace situated on a farm in quiet, beautiful nature. Panoramic view. Good hiking possibilities in the forest and in the mountains. Fishing possibilities in the fjord and lake. Good starting point for car tours to e.g. Brikdalsbreen glacier, Geiranger, Vestkapp and Stryn mountains. With the cable car Loen Skylift you quickly reach 1.011 m.a.s.l., where you enter directly into a restaurant with glass walls, which offers a fantastic view over water, fjord and mountains. Otherwise we recommend hiking on the many marked trails in the area as well as climbing at Via Ferata. Neighbor: 30m.

We had an amazing time staying here for 4 nights while traveling around Norway for a month-long honeymoon. The host met us and showed us where everything was located. The house is very beautiful, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We felt very at home here. The location was incredible and to wake up surrounded by beauty was really special. It was just a short drive to some of the most amazing hikes, views, and dining experiences of our lives. Communication with the host was really great and we appreciate everything so much. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Beautiful view and spacious home

My husband, daughter, and I stayed for 3 nights. The house is quaint with a spectacular view. The kitchen is well provisioned with most every utensil and pot making cooking easy on the road. The owners were very welcoming and showed us around the place at check in, and were easily reachable for questions/assistance. The location is ideal to take in hikes in Loen, Lake Lovatnet and Stryn in addition to Olden. Great access to the glacier. We loved our stay.

Absolutely incredible house and location

We booked this location b/c we wanted close proximity to the Briksdalsbreen section of Jostedalsbreen National Park. We wanted a place in a secluded location, something locale. This was exactly the spot. Helga was there to check us in when we arrived, and available when we needed her. The property has cows grazing below you, with views of Olden and Loen. Easy driving to both for cafe and restaurant options. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were warm and comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely

This is a wonderful spot.  The house is on a working farm, set apart from the gracious host's house and farm buildings.  While we were here with our teenaged granddaughter in early June, the animals had been moved to higher pastures, and the owner was cutting hay.  The house is comfortable, nicely furnished, and well-equipped.  Especially nice is the sunroom off the kitchen looking out over the Nordfjord.  A morning run on the road heading up above the farm is delightful.  Good hiking all around from Olden and Loen valleys to the hills overlooking the fjord, and up to the glaciers.  Olden has several restaurants, two grocery stores, and a good outdoor gear shop.  Cruise ships call several times a week at a dock is on the east side of the bay, somewhat apart from the village.   We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and would gladly return.
