Maine as it Should Be (as it used to be : )
The weather? It changes. What doesn't change is the comfort, the feel and the view from this quant cottage. We have stayed here for 1 week for 5 years, missed last year so making up for it with 2 weeks this year. At low tide, we climb down the 'stairs' and look for beach glass, at high tide, we go swimming and all tides we sit on the lawn and just watch, the lobster boats, sailboats, waves and the days go by with a reward of a fantastic sunset.
My wife and I love the bed in the 1st floor alcove, raised and surrounded by windows, you get all the stars in the sky and night and the gentle chug chug of the lobsters boats in the morning. If you don't like to relax, don't like great views or the charm of a beautiful cottage, then maybe stay somewhere else : )
Some gems to check out, breakfast sandwich at BIGS (you can walk there) broiled scallops at Morses (or dinner/lunch on their wharf : ), breakfast at the Driftwood and lobsters at Erica's. (go between lunch and dinner and you might get a table)
