Reviewer Comments: Even before arrival,I felt confident in knowing that all of our reservations and requests were correct and fulfilled because of the professionalism of the staff members at the front desk and beyondAngela,Alex, Megan,Jessica were also excellent in helping our large group(80) obtain the beautiful party room for one of our events.Angela even checked on us several times to make sure things were running smoothly!!The property is pristine and so is the staff!We will continue to vacation at one of our favorite spots!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: HSRC has been around for a long time, my parents owned 418 from 1976 until 2016. They were very particular in the unit, maintaining it as needed. The unit I was in needed a lot of work....the master bedroom be is broken down in the middle at the end. The sofa is broken down under some pillows, maintenance found a board to put under the cushions. The outlet in the Master bedroom had to be fixed, when unplugging anything, I had to hold the outlet in while removing a plug. Paint is coming off of so many cabinets, I lost track. I had to buy a skillet cause there is none in the cabinets. I also had to buy some plastic glasses in order to sit by the pool and have a drink. The balcony furniture is a laugh. The back of the chairs were attached backwards....when you sit on the chair the top of the back digs right into your back! The furniture is NOTHING like in the picture. We had 2 chairs and one little table. The decorating in the unit was great.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been staying at HSRC for years, every summer. The condo was great. We had more than enough space for 3 of us! Loved the 6th floor, views were awesome and we could see the fireworks form the front balcony. A couple negatives: 1. There were huge piles of hair stuck to the tile in the shower, we notified the front desk and the housekeeper never showed up. It was clear that the shower was never cleaned prior to our arrival which is just gross in the current climate. 2. The chair situation is so weird. They tell you at check-in that you can’t reserve chairs before 9am and you can’t tag a chair unless you’re actually using it. However, it’s not enforced. People tagged chairs and left front row chairs empty until 1-2pm which was a real bummer for those of us that followed the rules and could only get back row. If there are going to be rules like that, they need to be enforced. Also, make sure you’re aware that people line up around 8:15am in order to attempt to grab a front row spot at 9am. Regardless, we’ll be back because we really do love the resort and being downtown in Destin for easy access to restaurants and shops.

Two months in Destin!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've loved my stay with family being able to visit over the two months. This will be my last stay here. I had to have the maintenance people up quite a few times to fix things in this unit. The master bedroom bed is still broken. There is a "cute" rug in the living room, but it sheds daily and the fuzzy stuff coming off it is disgusting. The sofa is sinking and the cushions constantly slide out! Again the maintenance guys came up with a board to fix across the sofa to set the cushions on so I could get up off the couch. There were not enough outlets to plug in electrical chargers in the guest room. There were several outlets where only one of the outlets worked. The furniture on the balcony consisted of only 2 small chairs. I think they were put together wrong, the backs curved the wrong way, making it impossible to sit comfortably. The decorating was great tho, I loved the wall hangings. The cute little chest of drawers in the guest room, is dangerous! Just pulling one of the little drawers out and the entire chest about fell over. I had to keep the door to the room closed when my great grandson visited, I know the attraction of the little drawers made him want to go in there frequently. I had to buy a skillet, there was none in the kitchen, as well as some plastic glasses that we could take downstairs to the pool area. There were only glass glasses in the kitchen.

The room itself was updated however there were some cosmetic things like the vanity door in the master bath was damaged and some of the patio furniture was not usable. The mattress in the master bedroom was also in need of replacing because it sunk in terribly in the middle. The sectional was comfortable, the dining table was huge, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the view was beautiful. Overall, I would stay there again.

Steps from the beach and the amenities like the pool, tennis courts and shuffle board were nice. The staff is friendly. But the unit we stayed in for the price definitely needed some work. It was decorated very nicely but had some issues. The floor was dirty, there was an outlet with no cover, the toilet kept clogging and the mattress in the master bedroom was old and uncomfortable. Also wish would of been given a heads up they were working on the unit next door.

For the money the main bathroom needs an up grade for SURE!!! But over all I would rent that unit again and and the patio needs some type of table added like the other units so other than the changes I loved this unit.

New appliances and well stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We enjoyed the pool, shuffleboard, and pickle ball. But were frustrated with periodic limited laundry facilities and no access to beach chairs/umbrella (was included in our contract). Also restaurants/bars are not walkable, and traffic on 98 can be difficult.

The property was cozy and our family loved the special touches and decor in our unit! My parents and sister and brother in law also stayed at Holiday Surf and Racquet as well. They were also very impressed and look forward to returning! We all loved the easy access to the beach, reserved beach chairs, amazing ocean views from our balcony, the fact that the property is off the main strip of Destin, the ease of getting around the property as well as the cleanliness.
