The cottage is peacefully situated on the edge of the forest. View of the Lofoten rocks and water. Sandy beaches nearby. Well suited for mountain hiking. Excursions to experience aurora can be arranged with the owner. Prices vary depending on duration and number of persons. For those interested in history, we recommend the Viking Museum in Borg. There are restaurants and stores in Leknes. There is a campfire facility on the terrace and one by the covered camp. Follow the Norwegian Landscape Route and make a detour to Eggum with the strange sculpture "Hode"; it changes its shape and content 16 times to your amazement when you walk around the statue. Attention: 50 m path up to the house.

Gemütliches, top ausgestattes Haus mit fantastischem Blick
Das Haus von Jann ist einfach wunderbar. Die Lage ist herrlich, mit Blick auf Wasser und Berge, zwar direkt an der 815 und damit für Ausflüge gut, trotzdem absolut ruhig, die Straße ist vom Haus nicht zu sehen und nur ganz selten, wenn überhaupt, zu hören. Umgeben von Bäumen, ein kleiner Bach direkt neben dem Haus, eine tolle Aussichtsterasse, man fühlt sich ganz weit weg von allem. Die nächsten Häuser stehen trotzdem nicht allzu weit entfernt, wem die Einsamkeit also Sorge macht, kann diesbezüglich beruhigt sein. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in Leknes, was mit dem Auto in etwa 20 Minuten zu erreichen ist. Wer regelmäßig Ausflüge macht, wird dort aber vermutlich ohnehin vorbeikommen, das stellte für uns daher kein Problem dar. Das Wohn-/Esszimmer ist gemütlich, man kann sich bei schlechtem Wetter auch gut den ganze Tag dort aufhalten. Bei der Ausstattung der Küche fehlt absolut nichts. Neben einem Induktionsherd gibt es auch mehr als ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck um die ebenfalls vorhandene Spülmaschine sinnvoll nutzen zu können. Das Internet ist gut, wir konnten sogar problemlos Filme streamen. Die Fußbodenheizung ist ebenfalls top, es war immer warm und kuschelig, was bei Regen, Wind und niedrigen Temperaturen willkommen war. Auch schön heiß duschen kann man selbstverständlich, das Wasser ist noch dazu wunderbar weich. Der Eigentümer Jann ist sehr sympatisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können das Haus daher nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen, wir haben uns dort auf jeden Fall sehr wohl gefühlt.
Was man trotzdem wissen sollte: Man parkt direkt an der Straße und muss dann ca. 150 Meter über Steine und Holzplanken zum Haus aufsteigen. Es ist also leider nicht unbedingt geeignet für Menschen, die nicht gut zu Fuß sind, für alle anderen jedoch kein Problem. Das Haus hat zwar insgesamt 9 Schlafmöglichkeiten, allerdings würden wir davon abraten das Haus mit mehr als 4 bis 5 Personen zu nutzen. Die 4 Schlafzimmer sind alle recht klein und eng, Schränke und Ablageflächen gibt es kaum. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls klein und eher spartanisch. Für uns ausreichend, wer da allerdings gehobene Ansprüche hat, könnte vielleicht enttäuscht werden.
Wir sagen auf jeden Fall noch einmal ganz herzlich „Tusen takk, Jann!“, dass wir zwei wunderbare Wochen in Deinem Haus verbringen durften!
