We were impressed with the location. It was beautiful and the house was wonderful. We had to cut our stay short due to a family medical emergency. The house was very clean and we were grateful for the extras that were provided.(paper towels, t.p., etc) we would definitely stay there’s again.
Great home, plenty of room. Comfortable and location is awesome
We loved it!
A great place for a family getaway
The house was a great place for our family to meet for Thanksgiving. Lots of room for eight of us,The bedrooms were very nice. Kitchen was great for our Thanksgiving dinner. The granddogs loved to run outside.
Love Hilltop! Convenient to everything Black Mtn has to offer or you can never leave the house & enjoy the beautiful & peaceful surroundings!
Great for larger group
It was perfect for us - four couples planning a visit to Biltmore Estate. The beds were comfortable. The space was ample. The screened in porch was a perfect place to gather. We were away from town and in a quiet, somewhat secluded spot. The only problem we had was when more than one shower was being used, the downstairs did not get warm water. A minor inconvenience for all the benefits of the property.
Thank you for visiting Lake Eden and for your feedback on the shower. The hot water heater is brand new at Hilltop so we will definitely have the plumber take a look!
Hilltop House is set on our private 60+ acre property where the historic Black Mountain College once thrived during the '40s and '50s as one of the most important educational and artistic experiments. Buckminster Fuller built the first geodesic dome here on the property and Elbert Einstein taught here.
Some of the highest points east of the Rockies stand tall in the distance, mountain lakes and streams welcome you, and the beauty and spirit of this place is truly relaxing and magical. While you enjoy a feeling of being far away you have the luxury of being close to so many great experiences... Black Mountain (5 minutes), Asheville (20 min), Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, Cherokee, and outdoor adventures abound (hikes, rafting, mountain biking, climbing, picnics, etc).
