Everywhere along the lake there are smaller or larger bathing bays, also with sandy beaches. The two larger towns of the lake Castiglione del Lago and Passignano invite with various restaurants, bars and stores to stroll. Also within easy reach, in less than an hour's drive, are the nearby Umbrian and Tuscan towns of Perugia (20 km), Cortona (30 km), Arezzo (60 km), Montepulciano (30 km) , Pienza (40 km) and many more.
