Cabin in the mountain

This was exactly what we were looking. Nestled right in between Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountain National Park

Peaceful cabin retreat with great view, Responsive management

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was peaceful and private. It had a great view but also surrounded by woods so you did not have others right next to you.Staying in a home is so much nicer than a hotel. We were very comfortable. It was well furnished and had the things we needed.Great location with lots of activities nearby.Hot tub was wonderful every night after hiking in the park, Dollywood, aquarium, and Ober mountain (bobsled was a favorite).Do heed their advice about the bears. It was an active time of year for them when we went. We had a paw print on the truck window the first morning and saw one walking down the street another.Haven was very responsive whenever I contacted them regardless of the time.I would definitely stay again.

Private, comfortable and relaxing

Checking in was extemely easy and the location is pretty nice. While you do have quite a bit of privacy, you are still close to the gatlinburg strip. Not too far from pigeon forge or the national park either. The access to the multiple club houses is nice ad well!

Great Visit

Our family had a great stay. The house had a few small issues like others mentioned. We didn’t mind and the location, view, and house made up for it. We felt like we were in a big tree house and the view of the mountains - remarkable.

My daughters birthday celebration

There were six of us. Online the property was perfect. Once we arrived the property wasn’t like the pictures. It was outdated with paint chipping. The place was full of cobwebs and the floor was filthy. I tried to clean a little but the vacuum didn’t work very well which I am assuming that’s why the floors were dirty. I did reach out to the owner and she assured me they would look into it. That didn’t help at the time but I’m hoping it’s clean for future guests. Oh and the hot water is spotty. The owner was quick to respond but flipping the breaker didn’t fix it, we just spaced out our showers for the next two days.

Strong pros but notable cons

Overall: "pretty good, some notables need improved" Location is very good since central relative to Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Great Smokey Natl Park. Deck and views are great, very nice sense of nature around rather than brand new rental cabins jammed next to each other (which is fairly common in the area). The pool itself is great but totally false advertising that it was a short walk from the house. Like pulling teeth getting the actual pool location from host, and in actuality it turns out to be a 37 minute walk according to Google Map. Totally impractical for intended quick trips there with kids on foot. Also misrepresented sleeping capacity - states a "twin fold-down sofa." Those words mean twin size sleeper sofa to most people but actually what is present is two sofas that have sections that partly recline like an easy chair. Its either sloppy choice of words or implying something there isn't. The dining table is nice-sized; plenty of room for everyone, plus generally good kitchen layout. Nice new carpeting. Unfortunately there is a mouse presence that needs attention. Its just not cool to find mouse poop in the silverware tray and on the counter. Fact that toaster is missing its crumb tray certainly can't help the mouse problem. Did not appreciate being told there was something about the water in the hot tub that wasn't right that the cleaners couldn't do and we should do. Just silly to pass of a responsiblity like that onto guests. Word limit prevents further details

Breath taking view

Had a great stay at this location. Breathtaking view over looking the mountains. Quick car trip to downtown shopping area. We all thought the beds were a little hard when we first set down on them. But I will say I got the best sleep and woke up every morning with no aches and pains. So don’t let the bed fool you. The carpet looked brand new and was very clean. I seen a review a couple of months ago about the oven not working. That has been fixed and was working. We cooked biscuits one morning and enjoyed the view on the deck for breakfast. I did think the hot tub water sunk. But I really just think that is the water in Gatlinburg. A couple of other places that we suited with water running also smelled the same. I had a question one night before bed and emailed the owner. When I woke up I already had a email from them with my answer. So very fast response. Make sure you do not have any food in your cars and lock the doors. My son had a bag of candy in his car and had left his door you locked on our last night. We woke up and the door was open and his car was a mess. We thought a human had broke in until he noticed the only thing missing was his bag of candy and we could see bear prints on the car door. We also saw a couple of bears just a block away from the house. Which seeing the bears so close to us and throughout the Smokey mountains was my favorite part of the trip. If we return to Gatlinburg I will defiantly try to get this rental property again.
