Escape from your hectic everyday life and spend a quiet and relaxing vacation in this beautiful house in the first row of dunes. This homey house promises you comfort and coziness on two floors and lets you relax. In addition to bedrooms on the first floor, the upper floor serves as an open living and sleeping area overlooking the dunes. Live in the charm of the old walls and enjoy the veranda and garden, sheltered by the dunes while playing or drinking coffee.

The island of Rømø is part of the Wadden Sea National Park and will delight you with a completely unique nature. As an angler you will find good conditions here, as well as there are many opportunities to see seals lying on the beach. Bring your binoculars too, because the bird life is impressive. In late summer you can enjoy the special phenomenon of the Black Sun, where large flocks of birds form patterns in the sky before searching for food in the wetlands of the island.

Historisches Wohnen

Es fällt nicht leicht, eines der letzten Sommerhäuser aus der Gründungszeit der Lakolk-Ferienhaussiedlung zu bewerten. Schließlich handelt es sich um ein Gebäude aus der Zeit um 1895, als Südjütland noch nicht (wieder) dänisch war. Also muss man Abstriche machen. Wer ein Haus mit modernem, skandinavischen Ambiente erwartet, wird enttäuscht. Das Erdgeschoss mit seinem Holzdielenboden und den massiven Türen aus weiss gestrichenem Holz, erinnern an die vorletzte Jahrhundertwende. Zwirbelbart, Gamaschen und „Vatermörderkragen“ lassen grüßen. Der Rest, An-und Umbauten und das Dachgeschoss, bestehen aus einem Sammelsurium verschiedener Möbel. Neu und modern ist auch hier nichts. Eher gemütlich und abgewohnt. Die Küche ist klein aber ausreichend. Geschirr und Besteck ist zahlreich vorhanden. Alte Schränke und Sitzbänke sind vollgestopft mit Überbleibseln vorheriger Mieter. Die beiden oberen Wohnzimmer sind jeweils in einem Giebel des Daches gelegen. Der B&O (CRT-) Fernseher aus den Neunzigern macht was er soll, eine ältere PS ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Es gibt insgesamt 8 Schlafplätze, 2x 2 Einzelbetten, eine Art Etagenbett und ein Alkoven unter dem Dach. Die Treppe nach oben ist etwas abenteuerlich. Das Bad ist winzig, der notdürftig befestigte Duschvorhang soll verhindern, daß Wasser aus der ca. 60x60 großen, ebenerdigen Duschtasse in den Raum dringt. Heisses Wasser erhält man aus einem elektronischen 60l Boiler. Mindestens 3 Türen sind nur max 1,80 hoch. Insgesamt würde es nicht schaden, würde sich nochmal jemand intensiv mit dem Schmuckstück beschäftigen. Auch mit dem Bereich um das Haus. Die Lage ist herrlich, Rømø ist die Reise wert und wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier genau richtig. Hinterm Haus gelangt man sofort in die Dünen und nach ca. 800m ans Meer. Wem das zu mühsam ist, der kann auch mit dem Auto bis an die Wasserlinie fahren und die Strandstühle neben das Auto stellen...
