Great Vacation Home
This is a great townhouse. It was extremely clean, not cluttered, light/airy and in great shape. AC was strong. The house had all the things we needed--enough towels (including for the lake/pool), all the needed kitchen utensils. The kitchen is great.
It is a very efficient space. My 5 kids had enough room to not be in each other's way. I would say that 6 adults and 4 kids could comfortably stay here--but this is not one of excessively large 5k ft homes (which is what we usually rent). There is a good lakeview from the deck (I would say it is a partial view) but is very tranquil. We had reservations about the privacy of an attached townhome. However the way it is built/laid out makes it feel private. No noise from either side and when in the backyard or on the deck it feels very private.
The homeowners association's amenities are a 5 min walk down the hill (or I guess you could drive-as there is parking). Indoor/outdoor pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, a gym, hot tub (indoor only--they should build an outdoor one) and one of those 'lake beaches' with a swimming area. The outdoor pool has a lifeguard some of the time--not sure the hours--definitely on weekends which is great as a parent. The pool is underutilized and had some people there on the weekends and was pretty empty during the week. Between the property and boating/fruit picking/biking etc. we had a lot to do. Saratoga has a nice balance of places to eat and places to go that are quiet. (I would imagine it would be very busy and feel a bit different during track season).
The owner was great and check in a couple of times during our stay to see if we needed anything or if there was anything they could do to help. All in all, we would no doubt come back here again and had a great stay.
