The Log Cabin, a licensed 'inn', is located in lush and peaceful Ahualoa, just an 8 minute drive up the mountain from historic Honokaa town. The Log Cabin is a great setting for families, groups, weddings or other special events.
You can enjoy a stroll around the yard or a walk in the area. Apparently, one of Lance Armstrong's favorite routes goes past the Log Cabin. One can see why, it is just beautiful and naturally diverse.

The Log Cabin was truly our home for the 12 nights. We absolutely couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location was perfect for visiting family and easy to get to many sightseeing activities, beach days ;) there were 6 adults and 2 kids in our village. Plenty of room! Awesome caretaker on the property too.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that the Log Cabin felt like home for you and your group—it means the world to us. It’s great that the location worked well for both family time and exploring the area (can’t beat a good beach day!). We’ll be sure to pass on your compliments to our caretaker—he’ll be so happy to hear it. You were wonderful guests, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
Four adult members of our family (three local) enjoyed a cozy pre-Christmas stay. The house is great--we each had our own room--and loved the fireplace. Feels like being in a remote woodland, but is actually not far from the highway for going to get groceries or see the sights.

Thank you again for choosing us! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again in the future.
Mahalo!
Two families celebrating a couple of high school grads, were delighted by the unique, secluded, log cabin in Hawaii. The log cabin had plenty of room for the 8 of us, with plenty of room for privacy. We were able to prep meals for all, when dining in, with the plentiful appointments, supplies and resources. Driving around the mountainous area, into Honoka’a, or to Waimea, or wherever our daily plans took us, was always an adventure. Doug, the on-site caretaker, was exceptional! I cannot thank him enough, for being available, helpful, and accommodating, while allowing us privacy to experience this Hawaiian gem. Thank you for sharing your “Log Cabin,” and THANK YOU DOUG!
To sum up my stsy in one word, peacefull. I could not mahalo enough, from start to finish. Meeting the caretaker Doug, to relaxing in the house and the master bedroom with the rocking bench was perfect for my infant and toddler 😊. Trust me when I say this house was made for a family.
I give honest reviews, an this house came equipped with condiments already with some perks. The tvs don't have cable but that was perfect because we watch Netflix an YouTube already (for my toddler).
To have my grandmother, my parents and my kids feel comfortable is a big deal for me.
Mahalo to all the staff and owners of the log cabin!
