About this property
Adirondack Log Cabin on Scenic Waterfront Natural Soaking Pool
New Construction Log Cabin. If you want the best this is it. Top quality everything. This is no ordinary cabin or site. You can view my other cabins and read the reviews. This 600 square foot cabin on 2 acres of pristine forest is just 60 feet from Scenic Waterfront. Windows ... Windows...Windows describes it best on waterfront side of cabin. View the Creek, Forest and Stars directly from living area. Enjoy the view while relaxing in our Amish Rocker as you watch the flickering flames from our glass front wood pellet stove.
A long 350 driveway off of a country road winds through the woods to the cabin with ample parking. The nearest neighbor is 200 feet away to give you great privacy.
The cabin is set up for 2 guests very comfortable, however if your kids or other friends do not mind sleeping on the very comfortable queen sleeper sofa located in livingroom that is a great option for a total of 4 guests.
Enjoy the short easy walkway down to the shoreline of Otter Creek . Beautifully landscaped area . Enjoy an evening camp fire at our new fire pit located near the shore of creek. The creek ranges 40 to 60 feet wide, has gentle rapids ,rocky areas with a great soaking pool directly in front of cabin.
The property sits on 2 acres of land with endless miles of State land nearby for hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and more. You'll find the famous Otter Creek Horse trail system just 3 miles away, home to over 60 miles of trails for horseback riding or hiking all on NYS Land and Forever Wild areas.
Hiking trails continue 2.5 miles over at Otter Creek State Forest. This 1206-acre track not only serves as a top-notch hiking route, but also a great brown trout fishing destination. Be sure to bring the camera along to capture the steep ridges, gentle rapids, and stunning landscapes that make up the scenery.
Be bold and adventurous in Independence River Wild Forest. This 76,000 acres of forest also sits just 3 miles away - a must-visit while you're here! Hike the road-less-traveled to Big Otter Lake, which headwaters Otter Creek and is part of the Han-De-Ron-Dah wilderness.
This Property is located near the Famous Otter Creek Horse Trails. Adjacent to the western edge of the Adirondack Park to the east of Lake Ontario, south of Lowville in Lewis County are two public forest areas managed by the State Department of Environmental Conservation, (the DEC): the Independence River Wild Forest, and the Independence River and Otter Creek State Forest. There are arguably 65 wonderful miles of riding trails through these two adjacent wilderness areas. They are called the Otter Creek Horse Trails. The Otter Creek Horse Trails are a series of old sandy roads and wooded trails that traverse a beautifully diversified region, populated with wildlife. Once off the sandy roads, the trails wind their way along sand flats and through wooded areas, access picturesque glacial ponds, and have climbs that lead to fine river vistas. If you and your horse like water, the trails follow or cross the Independence River and no less than seven smaller waterways: Otter, Little Otter, Beaver Meadow, Chase, Burnt, and Crooked Creeks. All eventually flow into the Black River that continues on north into Lake Ontario. It's truly a beautiful area in any season of the year. Yes, even in winter.
This southern Lewis County gem is also near other Large NYS parcels of land . Independence Wild Forest is 76,000 acres forever wild. The Otter Creek State Forest is just upstream about 2 miles and is 1200 acres of great fishing and hiking.
When the cold weather comes in, this high-elevation spot transforms into a snowy paradise! Enjoy snowmobile trails close by, or trailer snowmobiles to the designated parking area at the trailhead found 3 miles down the road.

Hosted by Ralph Kimbrell

Hi, my name is Ralph I am a graduate of the NYS Ranger School, I love the Adirondack Mountains, Forest, and waters. There is some thing magical about the woods, the aroma of pines, the fresh air, the sound of the wind through the forest, the sound of a mountain river. I own and operate Mountain River Properties and co- owner of Kimbrells Cabins., and build, sell or lease Cabins in the woods, and sell land also. Come on up and enjoy the pristine setting that the Hemlock Point Cabin offers.

What makes this property unique
This cabin is all around custom built. No this is not some ordinary Cabin. From the Post and beam and Log construction right down to the trim work it is unique and to top it all off is a very nice mountain river type of setting.
