A visit to the harbour town of Frederikshavn with its exotic atmosphere on the palm-lined beach is a must. Other exciting excursion destinations in the area include the impressive Råbjerg Mile hiking dune, the Råbjerg Mose bird sanctuary, the Eagleworld eagle park and the Ålbæk Klitplantage dune plantation. Picturesque Skagen is also a worthwhile destination. In summer, you can browse the market in Ålbæk and enjoy live music. Nature lovers will get their money's worth in the protected areas of Åsted Ådal and Katsig Bakker.
