About this property

Blissful Bear Log Cabin, community pool, hiking trails, golf course, lakes

When you open the front door, you are greeted with a rustic setting, lots of wood and stone, leather chairs and a welcoming bear in the foyer. Take your picture with the bear for fun selfies to enjoy later. The setting is the community of Connestee Falls with amenities including tennis, golf, community pool, pickle ball, hiking trails and several lakes with playgrounds and dedicated swimming areas. The home has three guest rooms and two and a half bathrooms.  Entertain with a large kitchen and eating area, complete with gas range, gas grill and wine chiller. Plenty of pots and pans for all your cooking needs. In the morning, you have a Keurig or a drip coffee maker, just be sure to bring your favorite flavor.

The master suite on the main level has custom tile shower, king sized bed and a TV. There is a sliding glass door that opens to the large deck and decor is rustic, log cabin decor.
Upstairs is a loft to accommodate extra sleepers if needed on the futon. The lower level has a game room den area with wet bar, card table, mini fridge and two bedrooms and a bath. The patio is accessible from the den area and opens to the outdoors where you can enjoy the patio furniture catch a few rays in the private courtyard area. The home has so many areas to relax that you will not want to leave. The downstairs bedrooms are well appointed and linens are provided.
Guests will be asked to fill out a registration form by email.  The amenities fee will be included with each reservation.

As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone.  Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable.  Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage and are trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions.  The digital guide book has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores and popular destinations.  Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

Wonderful stay at Blissful Bear

We spent 2 weeks at Blissful Bear in Connestee Falls and had a wonderful time exploring Connestee and the Brevard area. The home had everything we needed for a fun and cozy vacation including a fireplace! Would definitely recommend for a vacation to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

Wonderful stay!

Stayed for 4 nights with my pup over New Year’s Eve! Positives: Super responsive Management Company, clean, spacious, cozy, beautiful view, quiet, very well stocked. I have nothing negative to say! Driveway is steep, but there is plenty of turn-around room at bottom. If traveling with a dog, not a whole lot of room next to house to walk about, but I got great exercise walking up the driveway to get to the main road. We love the trails and the track too! Awesome night lighting outside and inside the home. I would highly recommend!

Don’t let the driveway scare you away…

Yes the driveway can seem scary if you are not used to the mountains but there is plenty of room to turn around once you get down. This well-cared for home is full of great features like a screened in porch with a fire pit and little extras like cleaning products that were available to use while we were there for bathrooms, etc. There were plenty of nice pots and pans which was a pleasant surprise. It was a little challenging to find a place for my dog to go potty since there is no yard but is manageable and worth the trouble. White Squirrel Realty is always very responsive to any issues quickly. I’ll be back…. Thanks!

Mountain Magic

Warm and inviting house in the mountains. The slate foyer opens to a living area filled with wood and stone, leather chairs and gas fireplace - a great place to relax. The incredible sunsets are viewable from the living area, as well as the kitchen and master bedroom. The beds were big and comfortable. The outdoor deck offers both an open side and a screened porch, and sits above a wooded area with a hiking trail, deer and an occasional white squirrel. The roads and driveway to the house were winding and steep, but were expected with this mountain house. The nearby town of Brevard was quaint and walkable, and there were many shops and breweries to visit. A few questions to White Squirrel Realty were answered quickly. We hope to return again!

Lovely Home/ Great Stay... with a few safety comments

White Squirrel Realty said this is a lovely home and it was ! Clean , very well supplied kitchen, nice layout with rooms up and down, lovely screened porch in the treetops. The owners paid attention to detail with the decor...very beary/mountainy ! Beds were comfy with plenty of comforters/throws/pillows available, if needed. Nice coffee bar. Weber grill under partial cover. All in all, a wonderful place and a nice stay. White Squirrel Realty was prompt in answering our questions/concerns. Now for the concerns...SAFETY ! No where in the listing does it mention the multiple steps down from the drive to the front entry. Or the wide stone steps from the entry to the main floor. The outside steps were painted with some type of anti-slip paint but was very hard to see the edges in bright sunlight. NO HANDRAIL ! This presents a safety issue for anyone of senior age with balance, hip or knee issues. A fall in the making ! Obviously this is not an issue for younger folks, but the owners need to make safety changes or at least be transparent in the listing. Lawsuits are not fun. Also the toilet downstairs and in the halfbath upstairs are SO low that a person with knee/hip issues would struggle to get up. I don't mean to be picky, but these are safety issues that should be addressed to protect the renter and especially the owner/rental agency from possible" fall with injury" lawsuits. A small issue...the wine cooler was making a terrible noise off and on and not cooling , so we did unplug it. Having said all this, we did manage to have a lovely stay, but due to safety concerns, sadly, we would not rent this home again. The FL Andersons

Beautiful views and home

This home was very clean and had all the necessary items needed. Comfortable and roomy for our family of 4. We loved the gated community. The hike within the community was well worth doing. Connestee Falls…beautiful and a fairly short hike. The driveway was a bit difficult to maneuver in my Toyota. My husband’s truck could manage better. I’m sure this is just the challenge of any mountain home. Loved this home! 5 star rating!

Great place for Fall in the mountains

Blissful Bear is part of Connestee Falls development. Even though this is a big development you feel as if you are pretty isolated. Little traffic on the road it is on. Great long range views to the west. The outside screened porch with heaters was our go to dining location. You are close to DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest. Plenty of outdoor activities are immediately available. The house is well furnished and up to date. Kitchen is well stocked. Even has condiments. Nice bedrooms. Definitely on our list of places to stay again.

The house was beautiful! It was well appointed! Loved the outside screened in porch! Highly recommend the house to others. It was also nice to have access to the club facilities. Beware of the very steep driveway.

Wonderful getaway

Fantastic home in a wonderful mountain community. The house was comfortable and better than the pictures. And the neighborhood is great - convenient to Brevard, Pisgah and DuPont and so much to do without even leaving the property (hiking, waterfalls etc).
