We have put our heart and souls into rehabbing the character of this home.
Please respect that during your visit
A little history on our guest home.
After Denny’s retirement, Fran & Denny moved to Hermann in 2002.
We had the pleasure of meeting them as my Grandma Black lived across the street from them.
Denny was always the curious one as to what was going on in town. You would most likely always see him out and about chatting with friends, acquaintances, tourists and keeping tabs on projects going on in town. He never failed to yell a hello.
After my grandma passed 3 years ago, we bought her little house and Denny always came over to ‘supervise’ our projects and share a beer... or two.
We truly enjoyed his visits and our shared laughs.
He always referred to Fran as his bride. I can still hear him say “ I better get back across the street before the bride comes looking for me”.
Denny lost his battle with cancer October 2019.
Fran decided to sell their home and move closer to her daughters.
My parents & I purchased the home April 2020.
We knew from day one that we wanted to make it a guest home & incorporate Denny & Fran in the name we chose for it.
After tossing around many ideas, we decided on Two Hearts Rambling Rose to honor them.
Two great people that will always be close to our hearts.
We bought the home with the intention of doing a quick facelift, ...but we should have known we wouldn’t be ourselves if we did that.
We have spent the past year updating the home, while keeping lots of the original details in place to embrace the character of this century old home.
Two Hearts (Fran and Denny)
Rambling (Denny’s wandering around socializing from place to place)
& Rose (love, theirs as a couple, for their family, and ours for the love my family has for Fran and Denny and their home)
This home has transformed into everything we imagined it could be. Capturing both the essence of the century old character with new modern touches to make you feel right at home.
