The entire Peljesac peninsula is rich in vineyards and wine routes, and you should try wines such as Plavac Mali, Dinga and Postup. A ferry takes you in about 15 minutes to the island of Korula and the old town of the same name, where the famous Marco Polo was born. You can also visit the town of Ston, which is known for its long stone defence walls and salt marshes. Oysters and mussels are farmed off the coast of Mali Ston, which you should definitely try. As the peninsula is located halfway between the interesting cities of Split and Dubrovnik, you have the opportunity to go on interesting day trips there.
