About this property

Bright apartment ideal for exploring Paris

In the 18ᵉ arrondissement, this 38 m² apartment, bathed in natural light, has all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay in Paris.
Ideally located close to public transport, it will enable you to discover the charms of the Montmartre district and enjoy Paris' lively nightlife.
It can accommodate up to three people.

Enjoy your stay! :)

## Logement
Located on the 2nd floor without elevator, it benefits from plenty of natural light thanks to its southern exposure.
It comprises :
- a spacious, unoverlooked bedroom with double bed, protected from the street and extremely quiet;
- a fully-equipped, functional kitchen
- a shower room with WC ;
- and a sitting area with sofa bed for relaxing after a day's walking.

You'll particularly appreciate its practicality and brightness.

The following facilities will be at your disposal:
- Wifi, 2 televisions, one of which is large with an HDMI port for connecting a laptop.
- Fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, oven, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc.

Bed linen and towels are included in the cleaning charge.

The apartment is ideally located just a few steps from metro lines 2, 12 and 4. It lies at the foot of Sacré-Cœur, in one of the capital's liveliest districts.

You'll have the opportunity to discover a number of nearby sites of interest, including the Saint-Pierre market, now a covered art market. There's also a delightful café and bookshop. Continuing your exploration, you can reach Square Louise Michel, famous for its Montmartre funicular. The funicular provides easy access to the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, a must-see site.

You can also climb the 222 steps of rue Foyatier to the Butte Montmartre, offering an exceptional view of Paris.

In the Montmartre district, I highly recommend the restaurant Le Petit Bleu, renowned for offering the best couscous in Paris at an incredibly modest price. Another not-to-be-missed institution is Bouillon Pigalle, offering typically French dishes at unbeatable prices.
If you want to enjoy the nightlife, I'd recommend a visit to Dirty Dick, a famous night bar in Pigalle, where the cocktails are delicious.
And for live music fans, the best concert halls are just a 2-minute walk away: le Trianon , la Cigalle , l'Elysee Montmartre, etc ...

Don't hesitate to ask me for more information, I'll be delighted to get back to you.

## Emplacement
The 18th arrondissement lies to the north of Paris and includes the Goutte d'Or and Montmartre districts. Montmartre is one of the highest hills in Paris, and the view from the top is astonishing. Montmartre became the neighborhood of many artists, including Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others. The 18th arrondissement is therefore highly contrasted, integrating ethnic blocks with a bourgeois sector or vice versa. Boulevard de Clichy, near Place Pigalle, is home to a number of friendly cafés and bars, giving the district a lively, respectable feel.

## Transports
Subway :
Line 2 (Anvers station): 3-minute walk.
Line 12 (Abbesses station): 7-minute walk.
Line 4 (Barbes Rochechouard station): 5-minute walk.

Great location, some things could improve

The location is great! You can walk from the Paris Gare du Nord station (10-15 min). There are several walkable eateries and grocery stories. What could be improved: -Listing accuracy There is not a clothes dryer. The machine washes only, so you'll need to use hangers to hang your clothes to dry. This listing clearly said there was a tumble dryer for clothes and it was listed as an amenity. I checked with them prior to my stay after seeing a review indicating there was not one. They confirmed there was. I assumed it was tricky to figure out a washer/dryer, but the instruction manual says nothing about drying. -Communication There is a management company that manages the VRBO listing. About five or six days before my stay, they emailed and said I should contact the local person via a phone number to give check-in time and get check-in instructions. I texted and received no response. I again received a request to provide check-in and out times a few days before my stay, which I provided by email. I was also told that WhatsApp is the best way to contact the local person. I contacted them again by text and WhatsApp. No response. I finally got check-in instructions the evening before my stay. When we got there, the hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen were just empty bottles. I sent them a message on WhatsApp asking if there as more anywhere and got no response until my check-out days later. -Cleaning The floors didn't seem like they had even been vacuumed.

fairly convenient location but annoying check in experience

this flat is fine for a short stay. going from the living room into the hallway felt like walking uphill though because the whole building is slanted, i wouldn't have wanted to be there longer. the check in experience was really annoying, the host didn't bother to message us until the day before and we were hoping to find out whether or not we could check in early to leave our bags and they only told us on the day that we couldn't, which didn't leave us much opportunity to find an alternative place for our luggage. in addition to this the lockbox with the keys in it was literally just attached to a post outside with a bike lock on the floor where any dog or human could pee on it and it was very difficult to reach when we checked in because there were about three or four bikes in the way there's a washing machine which is good but there was no dryer or drying rack so we had to dry our clothes on the radiators- after wiping them down because they were dusty we were told we'd have to wait for the cleaner to be done in the flat before checking in but they didn't do a very thorough job because the crockery was put away dirty and the bedsheets were on inside out! good thing is there are three metro stations nearby and there's also a pleasant vegan restaurant around the corner and the sacre coure is only a minute away
