We had a lovely time at this beautiful home surrounded by nature. It is so peaceful. We saw several bald eagles down by the river, and hummingbirds, chipmunks, and even a black rat snake crawl down from a tree on the property. We can’t wait to come back again!

Great little cottage.

The cabin was a great getaway. I love that they supplied fire wood for the fireplace. It's definitely off the beaten path with a great view. We would definitely stay there again.

There is nothing negative I can say about the Knoll. Just be prepared to walk to the water. But otherwise had a great time.

Cozy Getaway

Cute cabin in the woods, no frills- exactly as described. Clean, comfy, well equipped kitchen, secluded. The snow/ice made the road going in a little difficult, and the yard/deck by the river unusable-- but we expected this going in February. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, even in the chilly weather. Tons of puzzles and games, ( NO TV, but great wi-fi for those that need). We had a very peaceful escape from reality.

Our stay at the knolls

The property is very nice. The rules were very easy to follow. The house was extremely clean and we left it the same way we came. We cleaned up very good before we left. Put all the dishes away silverware. All the appliances were great. The upstairs fireplace was good. It really warmed up the house nicely and it provided great ambiance. We did not try the wood stove downstairs in the basement.

Blissful Retreat

What a wonderful place! My partner & I loved the Knoll! The house was cozy, and the porch was perfect to watch hummingbirds. We also saw three eagles from the deck on the river. The nearby town of Narrowsburg is quaint, and we enjoyed everything about our stay. I would love to see it in the fall too. We'll be back!

Wonderful Weekend

We had an excellent weekend. Often while staying at similar properties we’ve had to bring our own wood or there were odd rules around the property. However, while staying here, we had generous access to wood and the property. The fireplace was a huge hit; it felt like Christmas at grandmas. All in all, It was a peaceful and restful weekend in a beautiful cabin in real nature.

Nice, secluded home.

A cute cabin, very cozy. We loved the layout of the house, the paths and bridges on the property, and the river. Unfortunately my husband found no fish in the river even though he waded through it and could see clearly. But the Eagles, geese and ducks and the quiet made up for it. We also loved the front porch. Not having a cell phone signal and not having cable tv made it a bit too rustic for us.

What a wonderful refuge from the world

Everything you need is supplied in the kitchen including spices! Very comfortable in the heat wave even without A/C. Lovely home and even greater land around cabin to enjoy. Two minute walk to the Delaware River with a private dock where we spent 80% of our time viewing the river and throwing sticks for the dogs to catch. Bugs were NO problem what-so-ever. Lovely large back porch to sit and watch the rain on one evening. I can't say enough. I will want to rent again.

Woodsy oasis

It’s nestled in the woods where you hear the frogs, Eagles and other little animals. Sit on the porch and read. Take one of the many hiking trails down to the water or deck. If you go down to the river after dinner and sit. You will see plenty of Eagles looking for their dinner and talking to each other. Breathtakingly beautiful birds. You can fish by the river- we caught 3 bass. There is no TV here, yes!! There is good WiFi here, so if need to be connected your fine. There are plenty of games and cards here to play. Children’s books are in the one bedroom. . Bathrooms are on the first and basement floors. I would stay again. It’s a nice oasis from a busy life. It’s really tucked in the woods on a dirt road. There are neighbors but far enough away.

The perfect family get away

We went to the Knoll with our 2 young children- ages 2 and 4. It was the best experience we've had in a VRBO as a family. The house was so well stocked and prepared for a young family- our children spent hours playing with the fairy treehouse, making forts in the basement, reading the children's books, and playing make-believe games. There is no greater joy than snuggling next to your husband on a huge (and very comfortable!) couch, in front of a roaring fireplace, with a good book, listening to the laughter and play of your two children. Every day we went on family walks around the loop and down to the river and our children never complained- they loved looking for wildlife, running up ahead on their own, and exploring the outdoors. The house (both inside and out) is so well kept and tastefully decorated. Everything was incredibly clean and the kitchen (which seems to be recently renovated) was well stocked and easy for cooking in. Communication with Liz was easy. We are already dreaming of when we can come back and cannot imagine how beautiful this place must be in the summer.

Summer Getaway

My dad, dog and I enjoyed our stay at The Knoll. The property was easy to locate and was secluded under a canopy of trees. We saw a bald eagle every day of our stay and enjoyed the nature. We were looking forward to kayaking however getting the kayaks down to the river maybe not be feasible for those with disabilities. Unfortunately that was one of the main reasons we chose this property and we just couldn’t figure out a safe way to make it down to the river. Future guests, please understand that the trails down to the river are slippery, steep, and can be unforgiving for those with handicaps or disabilities. The wood bridges are dangerous too, we experienced a fall on our first day. However this property would be amazing for those with abled bodies and children. There’s a cute creek with frogs/roads and a tree house. There was more than enough wood to burn in the fireplace and we are thankful to the hosts for providing us all basic necessities that we needed.

Wonderful location. Quiet, peaceful, lovely paths to the Delaware with a very beautiful deck with rocking chairs to relax and get away and renew. We had an unusual problem with the water pressure and they were very responsive and had it immediately taken care of. Nice screened in porch and although we didn’t use the kayaks or fire pits both would be a great addition to your visit. Thanks Liz for being so pleasant and accommodating!

Great property overall. We were looking to get away and relax and we did. It could have been cleaner--kitchen and bathrooms could use some extra attention for sure. No bathroom on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are! Also, the pictures of the property don't show how close you are o to other houses--and dogs living on both sides barked a lot!

Why they chose this property

As soon as we drove the dirt road to look at the cabin, we had a feeling, this is what we have been searching for. The cabin sits on the Delaware River, beautiful in any season. It is so remote, quiet - a true get-away.

What makes this property unique

The rockers on the front porch offer hours of reading or deep discussions over a cup of coffee and a glass of wine. The deck remains our favorite, looking over the river where a couple of bald eagles are nesting. The crystal clear river offers swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, or simply some old fashioned rock skipping. The area is quiet and there is much nature to observe. The cabin is quaint, charming and has everything you need.
