Honeymoon trip

We had great hosts who took time to answer questions, provided a get to know your area, and gave a little gift for our honeymoon. It was immaculately cleaned and made me feel at home. Only negative was did have some ants in kitchen and shower curtain not long enough to prevent some water coming out. Would definitely stay again if in area.

Close to Buckroe Beach in Hampton, VA

Mostly it was a nice place. Four blocks from the beach. The price was okay. My complaint is if you want to really enjoy this particular house, you’ll want to bring everything you might need. There was a coffee pot but no filters. The lights under the kitchen cabinets needed batteries. It was hard to see the sink to wash dishes. We were not told that to lock the door as you leave you have to put in the code again. We got home the first night and our door was partially open. Kind of freaked us out but nothing was gone. The blinds do not open or close and there are only shears for curtains. The street light is pretty bright. Curtains should at least be partial light blocking. The apartment you stay in is at the back of an existing house and as you walk up it is very unkempt. Trash on the front porch and such. You are mostly protected in an enclosed back area with a stockade fence around it. We felt pretty safe given the open door and all. I am not used to paying a cleaning fee only to be asked to put towels, wash clothes and sheets in the washer and then be asked to wash them to help the cleaning crew out. I still felt it was a nice place to lay our heads down.

Lovely Place, Convenient Location!

Lovely little place, well stocked (ie, towels, plates, utensils, pots, etc.) and clean. Just 10 minutes or so walk to Buckroe Beach. Quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed my time there and might stay again if I'm in the area. :)
