River Front Beautiful Relaxing View LOWER LEVEL ONLY.

Large deck to relax on. Recharge to the sound of flowing river. You will be staying in lower level of 100 year old house. Your view beautiful from couch looking thru floor to ceiling glass. One bedroom with memory foam mattress. 2 chairs have single pull out beds and would be in main living area. Apt. Size fridge, sink, toaster, coffee maker, toaster oven and electric skillet, and microwave available in kitchenette area. Large bathroom with shower etc. TV and DVDS 📀 provided. We think you will be too busy enjoying the view to notice. Yard games available. Hammocks, swing, and Hammock chairs available too. Well groomed trail across river great for biking, hiking, horseback riding. Park across highway with sandy area for swimming and Dock for putting boats and jet skiis in. Did I mention you can water ski and tube on river above the Dam? Feeling like a scenic drive? Well it's just outside your door!! Drive River Road to Osage, Iowa. Beautiful!! Feel free to bring horses if u can tie to trailer. Pets welcome too! i request NO dogs on furniture or beds. It is very time consuming to vacuum up dog hair. There is a chance that the upstairs will have guests too. We do have second fire pit area with chairs and beautiful view. You can fish from our property but please note at times there is glass and other items that are at rivers edge. Grassy area/yard is fine. Please note we come here to spend time also so u might encounter our items in cupboards and medicine cabinets. But we leave you plenty of room!! Osage is a charming town with great shopping, movie theater, gas stations, and wonderful restaurants. Please note there is an upstairs and this might be rented. Both areas have private entrances. Dogs not to be left unattended or tied outside alone. PLEASE PICK UP ALL DOG WASTE AND PUT IN PLASTIC BAG IN OUTSIDE GARBAGE. PLEASE NOTE Entrance is on River Side. Please walk along East side on gravel walkway to get to lower level. Entrance is glass doors. Upper level is rented separately and their entrance is front door and spiral staircase.

Beautiful little spot

My fiance and I were looking for a nice little spot to get away for our anniversary and we couldn't of ran into a nicer spot. The host for a very good about communicating with us with anything we needed and the property was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back.

Stay for work

We enjoyed the ripples of the water on the river as we ate our lunch at the table. The ducks loved taking off from the water and squirrels were busy burying nuts. I liked relaxing in the swing hanging from the tree while meditating. The inside is so cute with the wood walls and outdoors decor. The fans helped keep it cooler

Very beautiful location peaceful river, great place for water activities nearby

We enjoyed the cabin, but wished we were the only ones renting. it’s a duplex, and the upper half was rented out also . We loved the river. The sound of the water rushing was mesmerizing. We spent time below the dam near the cabin, and above the dam as well. The water was warm and a lot of fun. We enjoyed going for long walks along the river. We were there mid August, and no bugs. It was wonderful.

Neat place to stay

We spent our family vacation at Lisa's riverfront cabin and it was great. It had lots of rustic charm and couldn't beat the view. Our son loved being able to fish in the river and find clams and crayfish. We took our kids swimming at the beach just up the road in the county park and also ventured down below the dam. Lisa was very attentive to any questions we had. We had a great breakfast at BecMar Diner in Osage. Unfortunately, our daughter needed to visit the ER for an ear infection and the staff at the Mitchell County Hospital were great.

Cheap for dogs

Very buggy must be because of the closeness of the river. River was too low so couldn't fish off the banks. Soul reason for booking it. But owner can't control the river. Only God can

Clear Lakes????

The search put us in a place 40 miles away and in the middle of no where. I had put in Clear Lake and this place was very inconvenient. It might have helped if it wasn't so 'lived in' and dirty. I think if you wanted to fish and stay like you were camping it would have been okay.

Over priced/ what a disappointment!

Was advertised to sleep 4 with only a queen bed, shower valve is not plumbed in correctly, hot was cold and cold was hot. Very cluttered and not organized with owners extras. There was adequate parking for our truck & trailer. Shower curtain was dirty. Bed was not made up with a top sheet.

Very easy, relaxing get away.

This was such a nice, easy, relaxing, no-fuss getaway. Nothing big and fancy, but down to earth for the two of us. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was adequate with stashed supplies, we made smores of course, enjoyed the resident duck that kept us company. We really enjoyed the picture books of the making of the cabin and family outings on the property!! Truly no air condition needed, lovely and cool with just fan while 90 plus outside. Anything to change...maybe weed out scratched up movies from the large selection- or fix the player? Also, getting down the slope for anyone with knee issues might be a challenge...just for folks to know ahead of time. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and felt so relaxed at the weekends end!! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Great little getaway

The cabin was cute and comfortable. The cabin was clean and suited us perfectly. The children and pup enjoyed walking down and playing in the water. The cabin was right across the street from the boat ramp. It was perfect for a little weekend retreat.

Gorgeous River Setting

Rustic cabin in a picture-perfect setting along the Cedar River. We really loved waking up to the sounds of cardinals and nuthatches and walking down and watching the river. The cabin is modest in both size and decoration but we didn’t really care - I only mention it because if these things bother you this isn’t the right place for you. But if you’re fine with simple and cozy and you want a peaceful, beautiful setting, this is a great place. Host super easy to communicate with and very flexible with some things that came up for us.

Relaxing and Scenic Views

We enjoyed our stay at the property and greatly enjoyed the view of the river and being able to relax in a hammock and unwind for a bit. When looking to heat up some water in the microwave we found it difficult to find a microwave-safe container as the cabinets were disorganized and cluttered. Overall the cabin was a cute place, has great charm, and was relaxing. We think it could be better, felt there was a lot going on throughout the cabin, sometimes less is more; having a lit path down to the lower level of the property would be nice, especially when coming in at night. It would have been helpful to have the check-in access information sooner, I had to reach out to the host for this while we were traveling on the day of check in.

Perfect escape from reality

Peaceful little place river was beautiful messy getting in and out feel bad to bring the mess back to the house… house had everything thing we needed dvd collection was unreal… kids loved it! Cell service is horrible there which it’s nice to get away from the phone and spend family time together again. Awesome trail near by and the beach and dam across the street was cool. The bar and grill down the road was good food and we were able to bring our dog with and eat on the patio. We will definitely be going back !!

Beautiful Relaxing Cabin

Would highly recommend if you want to sneak away and enjoy nature. The deck was a great spot to bird and animal watch. We saw everything from a beaver to a bald eagle. Very peaceful!

Quiet weekend get-away

My wife and I were looking to get away for the weekend with our infant daughter and two dogs. This cabin was perfect! It was located in a quiet area near the river (literally in the back yard). It was a great way for us to disconnect from the world for a few days but there is wifi so if we needed it we had it. Not to far from town, Osage and St. Ansgar, so if we needed supplies it was an easy 5-10 minute drive. Would highly recommend stating here! Lisa was extremely pleasant to work with and made our stay very easy!

Perfect Day!

Spent one night with my sister to re-connect. We had a late lunch at the restaurant 2 miles away in Mitchell. Classic bar/grill with great service. My sister and I grew up in NE Iowa and found the setting serene and relaxing. Check out Buck the deers musical performance. You will not be disappointed. 😂

Cute cabin by the river

Very fun, cozy and cute getaway for the weekend! If only the weather had been better. We loved the dvd collection! Our only issue was we only had one roll of toilet paper and ran out towards the end of our stay. Also there’s a wonderful coffee maker, but we could not find any coffee mugs. Otherwise it was a fun weekend getaway!

Mitchell, Iowa stay

Basement cabin was well designed and had all necessities as described. You were completely cut off with very little signal for phones. Very relaxing. Could have used an air conditioner but temp stays in 70s even without AC.
