Mountain retreat

The property was lovely, cosy and had absolutely spectacular views from the balcony and terrace across the countryside. There were two good bedrooms comfortably accommodating the four of us and a bathroom with a good powerful shower which is always a bonus in hot weather. You will definitely need a car for this location as the local village has no shop or other real amenities but its very rural location ensures you are surrounded by stunning countryside. It is only about 30 minutes to Heidelberg and about 90 minutes from Frankfurt airport and all in all a great place to stay.

Schön, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben um unsere Fewo zu bewerten. Es ist richtig, dass es im Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. Lediglich ein Metzger, bei dem man auch Brot und Brötchen bekommt. Ein Restaurant mit Biergarten ist auch vorhanden. Von diesem Standpunkt aus, kann man Unternehmungen in alle Himmelsrichtungen unternehmen. Ein Auto ist notwendig. Außer Sie sind Wanderer. Für Wanderer ist Rothenberg ein Geheimtipp. Da wir im Geo-Naturpark liegen, gibt es zertifizierte Fern- und Rundwanderwege. Zum Beispiel liegen wir an einem Stich zum Neckarsteig. In der Fewo kann man dann nach einer Unternehmung wieder zur Ruhe kommen und die frische Luft und Aussicht genießen. Viele Grüße vom Ferienhof Rothenberg

Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen nett und die FeWo war blitz-blank sauber. Alles, was wir brauchten, war vorhanden und der Ausblick vom Balkon war traumhaft. Wir haben selten, wenn überhaupt, so eine ruhige FeWo gehabt. Gut, ab und zu meckert eine Ziege, oder die Kühe auf einer entfernten Weide muhen, aber meist hört man - gar nichts und blickt vom Balkon auf waldige Berge und bewundert den (immer wieder anders aussehenden) Sonnenuntergang. Wichtig ist aber ein eigenes Auto: Es gibt viele schöne Sachen im Odenwald, aber man muss schon mindestens eine halbe Stunde fahren, um dort hin zu kommen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können diesen Vermieter nur empfehlen!

Een heel gerieflijk huis met een prachtig uitzicht.

We hebben veertien dit mooie huis bewoond. Alles is aanwezig en perfect schoon. Voor alle ramen bevinden zich rolluiken. Vooral in de slaapkamer is dit erg fijn. We hebben ook genoten van de stilte en de rust. Er stonden lekkere ligbedden voor ons klaar, maar helaas hebben wij twee weken slecht weer gehad. Zo jammer. Er staat buiten een tafel met stoelen om te eten, maar ook die hebben we helaas niet kunnen gebruiken. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk. Ze hebben ons grandioos geholpen toen we problemen hadden met onze auto. De plaatselijke garage heeft ons dezelfde dag nog geholpen en de auto weer gemaakt. In het dorp zijn na corona veel eetgelegenheden gesloten gebleven. Wij hebben een paar keer in Hirschhorn gegeten. Daar zijn eetgelegenheden genoeg. Is ongeveer 7 km van Rothenberg. Wij hebben een perfect verblijf gehad ondanks het slechte weer.

Gemütliche, bestens ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in landschaftlich wunderschöner Lage. Der Blick vom Frühstückstisch auf die im Tal hängenden Nebelschwaden, die Weiden und bewaldeten Hänge in der Abendsonne, das leise Hackern der Hühner - alles einfach schön. Dazu noch nette Vermieter, die gute Tipps geben, leckerer Apfelsaft und Eier von den glücklichen Hühnern. Eine rundum gelungene Woche.

So stellt man sich Urlaub vor

Nach einer freundlichen Begrüßung begann für uns der Urlaub. Wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Unsere Ferienwohnung im Obergeschoss des Ferienhauses ein Traum. Der Ausblick hat uns jeden Tag aufs neue erfreut. In der Wohnung ist alles da,was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Wir sind mit unserem kleinen Dackel und unserer 3jährigen Enkelin angereist.Auf der angrenzenden Liegewiese konnten beide mit uns gemeinsam spielen. Wir hatten viel Spaß. Die Vermieter waren für uns immer erreichbar und stets um die Gäste bemüht. Ich könnte noch ewig weiterschwärmen. Fantastic hosts. Quiet, beautiful scenery, spacious with everything you need

Lovely holiday home. 100% would return. Space outside as well. Hosts were great, helped with flat battery on car. Do need a car for access / shopping. Don’t need to bring anything with you as all is there or will be provided. Laundry service for a few euros if you need. Excellent base for Heidelberg and surrounding area while being in a rural and quiet setting.

We had a lovely stay at Ferienhof Rothenburg house. The house and surrounding country side is absolutely bucolic. Mike, Annette and Lars were very friendly and helpful with our inquiries regarding the area. We loved watching the goats, geese and cows! Hiking and biking abounds right from the house. The house has everything you need for a nice stay. It is clean, comfortable and very well maintained. We were sad when we left as we had such a nice stay. Hopefully we will be back again!

Quiet, nature, quality apartment

We loved our stay. My husband and two grown children had a wonderful 12 days--really loved the quality of the apartment (high wood ceilings, beautiful bathroom, wonderful views, well-appointed kitchen), and the beautiful views of the rolling hills. Of course, we loved seeing the goats and geese (all quiet!) as part of the "bauernhof" setting! Hosts were very nice and even brought beautiful, homemade German classic Christmas cookies which made our stay feel very home-like.

A very well appointed and comfortable home with far reaching views over the wooded hills

We have rented many holiday homes over the years and this is certainly one of the best. It is set in a very quiet location but not too far from the Castle Route.
