About this property

Spacious lodge with fishing pond.

Prairie Hills Lodge sits up on a hill with a covered back patio to sit and enjoy the beautiful Kansas sunset! Very spacious open floor plan of kitchen and living room. Kitchen is fully furnished and has all brand new appliances, two sinks, granite countertops and kitchen island for family and friends to gather around. Living room has 65 inch wall mount tv. Prairie Hills has six bedrooms and three full baths.
Six twin xl, four full and two queen beds.
Washer and dryer are available for you to use. Laundry detergent and dyer sheets provided.
Huge spring fed pond (pictured) to enjoy fishing or a refreshing swim on hot summer days. We also have three other ponds on site available for fishing.
WiFi available.

Our rate is $250.00 up to eight people and an additional $35.00 per person per night after eight people.


Prairie Hills Lodge is new construction completed in February of 2021 and is ready to host your quiet, country side stay here in Clay Center Kansas!

This property served as a family get away from Wichita for us, our two married daughters, their spouses and 3 little ones age 2 and under. It was a great place to gather, be outdoors, and have fun! One addition suggestion would be bedside lamps. Otherwise it was perfect!

We loved our stay on the prairie!

We have stayed at this property two times now and have loved it both times. It has tons of indoor and outdoor space. It is a peaceful retreat on the prairie to watch the sun rise and set. It is a great place to have quality family time.

Family vacation

We loved staying here. The access to the pond allowed the kids to swim and fish without having to drive to a different location. We could watch them from the house without worrying they were too far away. We had a great time!

Mens Retreat

We enjoyed the benefits of multiple kitchen sinks, large serving area, well stocked kitchen, working appliances and the 3 bathrooms and enough beds to go around. It was very peaceful and quiet and a great place to view the stars away from the light pollution.

Family hunting trip

The property and home were amazing. We do a family hunting trip each year (two brothers and two cousins) each of us agreed that this stay was as good as it gets, absolutely perfect! As you can tell we highly recommend this property, there was nothing that we could think of that was lacking or that we would have wanted different. We are planning to return again for next year’s trip.

We've been camping at Milford for over 10 years and wanted to upgrade our annual trip. This place provided that and more. Children and adults were all very happy with the lodge. From sleeping arrrangments to outdoor areas. The kitchen and dining area was especially nice.

Great Family Spot

We love the space this property offers. There was plenty of room for our family to get together and hang out. The kids loved the fishing ponds. I loved the quietness having no neighbors. A dining room table would have been nice so we could play cards or a game. Bedroom curtains would also be nice so the morning sunshine wouldn't wake us up too early. We would like to sleep in a little on vacation.

Family Christmas in April

We didn’t have the opportunity to get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas so we planned this get together. This was the perfect place for our family to eat, sleep, play and just hang out. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the weather. The wind blew hard the whole time. It’s Kansas so no surprise. The two refrigerators, two kitchen sinks and 3,bathrooms made everything so much easier. Perfect place and great Hosts.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time. There was 10 of us and we had more than enough room. The town had a wonderful pool/water park. My husband had a lot of fun fishing. The owner even helped him find the other ponds to fish in. My sister's only complaint was the ticks (she isn't use to ticks), which was only an issue when the boys went fishing. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful Property

We were all very pleased with everything the property had to offer. There is plenty of room for everyone in our family with all the bedrooms. If we had any issues or questions the response was quick and kind and found solutions. Went out of their way to meet our needs. Would highly recommend if you want the country get away where the scenery is peaceful and quiet. Looking forward to our next stay!

Perfect for us

What a great lodge in a remote location, yet close enough to the cute little town of Clay Center. I highly suggest you check it out if you visit the property. Lacie and Clay are amazing and so accommodating. We stayed with extended family and a great time was had by all. We made some wonderful memories at the lodge…playing games, fishing, kayaking and enjoying the Beautiful sunsets! It was the perfect family gathering place. Thank you!!

Excellent Retreat Location

Our executive team had a wonderful retreat here. The building is perfect for large gatherings and we all had a ton of room. While we were able to get our work done in the comfort of the building, we had a great time doing recreational activities on the large property. The hosts were very accommodating to our group to make sure we had a great retreat. There are well stocked fishing ponds that our team enjoyed as well as amazing Kansas sunsets and the peace and quiet of the countryside. It was a great get away from the noise and hustle of Kansas City and just 3 hours away. I highly recommend this property if you want to get your team out of the city and be able to focus on the work you want to accomplish.
