About this property
Downtown home blocks to the beach w/ king bed, deck fire pit & air conditioning
Our home in Manistee is a 1900’s historic charmer with original floors, historic features, fans in rooms, and a large private deck to watch the sunset, making your visit #morethanvacation.
The apartment offers one studio-style bedroom with a king-size bed, a living room with a convertible couch bed, a fully furnished kitchen, a newly renovated bathroom, a washer and dryer and a large deck with seating and a fire pit for lounging outside with a cool local beverage enjoying the great Michigan weather.
Our home is fully furnished to make your stay easier while you are on vacation or on work assignment in Northern Michigan. You will find bath towels, linens, and soaps to wash off all those sandy moments from Lake Michigan. Basic cleaning supplies like trash bags or paper products (toilet paper, tissues) have been thoughtfully provided too! We provide coffee and tea to make mornings better. The kitchen has enough cooking tools that'll help you enjoy a pleasant meal after exploring this beautiful town we love, Historic Manistee.
Guests have exclusive access to the second-floor apartment, with a private entrance area, apartment deck, and street parking in front of the home.
**Please note: This apartment is located on the second floor of the home so guests must be comfortable climbing a full flight of stairs with their luggage and must agree to quiet hours to respect our downstairs guests.
The entire house includes a 3 bedroom rental with a separate entrance & yard access/ deck available for booking, too. Please reach out to me directly if you are interested in available dates for both spaces.
This home is perfect for a laid-back couple or a few friends who don’t mind a squeaky floorboard, no dishwasher (we do have a disposal :) and who are comfortable with historic imperfection. If these things bother you or any of your guests, there are other great places to stay in Manistee :)

We enjoyed our stay here - the property is clean, sunny, and comfortable. It's an easy walk to downtown in a quiet neighborhood, and 30 minutes drive to the Arcadia mountain bike trail. The host was easy to communicate with. We would stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay and will be back. The house was setup just perfectly and the location was so perfect and close to town, the beach etc.

This listing was just right for our short trip to Manistee, it was easy to find and walkable distance from downtown. Host was very considerate and communicative.
We enjoyed ourselves and our privacy at this super cute and neat apartment. Manistee is much quieter and quainter than Traverse City.
We highly recommend a visit to this spot, and charming town.

Cute property and perfect for my needs. property manager thought of several extra touches to make the stay special. Would recommend this place to a couple wanting a getaway.
We had a nice stay here, everything was clean the host was super nice and easy to communicate with and they even went above and beyond as to have spaghetti noodle and sauce for us ready for us to cook if we wanted to make sure we didnt go hungry if we arrived late and could get food anywhere.
Charming second-floor apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Owners provided attention to detail for amenities. Good location for town of Manistee and local hiking or beach parks.

Susan, I'm so sorry that your stay was below excellent. 4 stars is considered a poor rating for VRBO so, please let us know what we could do better for the next guests.
Nice place other than the steep and narrow steps that lead upstairs. Very clean and just as described, would stay at again.

Mike,
I'm so sorry my home did not meet our standard 5-star service for you due to my apartment having steps, which as you state, I accurately describe and provide photos of. Please consider using review scores to confirm if the host accurately described the home, as it is intended, or maybe not book homes with steps. Hosts really try to give a 5-star service but, with your expectations, the homeowner will never be able to meet them without rebuilding the home :)
It's like a little hideaway after a full day on the beach. Make a meal, enjoy the fire pit on the deck and watch the stars come out. Then, sleep soundly in the quiet comfort of a king bed.
