About this property

Beautiful Montana Spruce Log Home in Historic Antiques Corridor

This gorgeous log home was built from lovely Montana spruce in 2020 and thus everything is new. Situated along historic U.S. 61, with only 1 close neighbor, there are hiking and wildlife adventures nearby, historic homes and by-ways and all sorts of convenient antiquing destinations and shops. Once checked in, you are 55 minutes from the Baton Rouge Airport, 30 minutes from historic St. Francisville, LA, 40 minutes from Natchez, MS and 8 minutes from End O' The World RV Park (See endotheworld.com) in between Woodville and Centreville, MS.

3 roomy bedrooms - - each with its own bathroom and walk-in closet - - and an additional half-bath up front. Every bedroom has ceiling fans and flat screens.

Master Bedroom has a queen bed; the 2nd bedroom has a double bed and the 3rd bedroom has triple decker bunk w/ a queen on bottom, a double in the middle and a single on top. Walk-in closets in all bedrooms. The Master Suite and Bath are LARGE!

A roomy kitchen adjoins a spacious family area w/ a convenient front room half-bath. (So, 3 1/2 bathrooms total.) Large flat screen TV in the front family room and additional flat screens in each bedroom with DISH service to each. The large family room fireplace sets everything off and cut firewood is available in the rack in the garage!

The cabin has fabulous southern-style wrap-around covered porches. A new, clean stainless steel BBQ grill is available on the rear covered porch area - covered to keep ready-for-use and w/ propane provided. (BBQ utensils are provided in the kitchen drawers. If you use more than the propane tank provided, however, you will have to replenish your own additional fuel!)

The Lodge also comes with a RV hook-up site on a concrete pad with 50 Amp power , water and sewer provided for a variable up-charge depending upon type of use. This RV spot is locked and will be unlocked for the use of our guests once the upcharge is paid. There is a large parking area adjacent to the driveway, partially shared with our only neighbors, who are wonderful folks. Plenty of room to maneuver into the LARGE back/west-side RV spot, available for an additional charge.

NOTE: Additional nearby RV spaces are available for lease at End O' The World RV Park, 8 minutes away to the east. (See the website for that Park. We own that property also.)

You will love this spacious modern cabin with its rustic feel, outdoor amenities, RV-friendly appurtenances -- all located conveniently on U. S. 61N, in the center of the antiques corridor running between Natchez, MS and historic St. Francisville, LA.

This readily accessible 3 acre hidden gem provides a LOT of value at a super price!

Beautiful Cabin
The cabin is beautiful! It has every amenity you could possibly need and then some! The place was immaculately clean and smelled good when we arrived. Jim is responsive, exceptionally nice and very southern like me! We had a peaceful stay because it's such a serene place.

Woodville Wedding Weekend
Our stay in this gorgeous log cabin was FANTASTIC!!! Myself and the grooms mother came up from Nee Orleans and friends and family (with a 5 month old) came down from Tennessee. The place is truly stunning!! Each room having its own bathroom was a convenience I wasn’t expecting. Especially when it came to the wedding day. Msy friends with the 5 month old baby stayed in the suite and it was as though the walls were sound proof. The living room and dining room were so spacious and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. The owners were incredible. Accommodating and available at any time for any questions or concerns we had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a stay here!!!

Beautiful place!
The place is not only gorgeous, but comfortable as well! Jim was extremely helpful with all of our questions leading up to the stay. Our GPS wasn’t entirely accurate but Jim was just a phone call away to help us to find the Lodge. If we are ever back in the area, we will be staying at the Lodge!

I am an attorney and business owner living in the Port Hudson, LA area. My law firm is in Baton Rouge as is my Software Tech company. I am a hunting and fishing guy and have hunted white-tail deer in Wilkinson County for over 40 years. I also have an antiques store in Zachary, Louisiana, which houses the stuff I've collected over many years. Old things and antiques interest me -- along with an active pursuit in relic hunting and RV-ing. The historic corridor between Natchez, Mississippi and Port Hudson, LA boasts some of the best hunting in the world, is ripe with antique opportunities, as well as relic hunting sites. (Need proper permissions, of course!) So, that makes this little corner of the world perfect for me.

I also have a small RV Park located very near to the Woodville Lodge with spaces available to rent daily or for longer periods. Check out the website: endotheworld.com

I have other properties located elsewhere and rent them when they are not being used. I have a relaxed attitude about making the properties available to others...BUT: I take care of them and ask you to do so as well! -- Jim

Why they chose this property

This property was acquired in 2015 as a hunting cabin for our annual deer hunting in Wilkinson County and had a home on it built just after WW II. The old home originally on this site burned in 2019 following a electrical short in the garage freezer. We rebuilt the home thereafter and decided to make it a very nice Log Lodge -- both for use during the hunting season and for a getaway "cabin" during the rest of the year.

What makes this property unique

RV-FRIENDLY: The RV-friendly aspect of this property is unique -- with one full 50AMP power/sewer/water site readily available on-site and directly adjacent to The Lodge. There are 5 more similarly equipped 50AMP RV slots -- all w/ water, sewer and 30AMP/110V add'l options -- PLUS a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath fully furnished cabin also available within 8 minutes nearby. (See endotheworld.com for location, availability and rates. Cabin has a full kitchen, full laundry amenities and a wonderful large screened porch w/ fridge-freezers inside and out.)

LARGE PARKING AREA: The room available to park trucks and trailers and additional cars is unusual here. There is LOTS of room for vehicles in a spacious parking area.

OUTDOOR FIRE-PIT: Nice brick firepit with adjacent covered seating area is nice. The woods in the rear (West) of the property and alongside the north line provide plenty of firewood!
