The host was quick to respond to all messages. The property is clean and very well taken care of. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water as it is a multi-unit building (5 if I counted correctly and she does have long term renters in the same building). I will be staying again!

Overall very nice. Comfy bed, cute Victorian furniture, hot shower, good location to old downtown, easy communication with the host. Ceiling fans were a challenge, so bring a travel fan if you sleep with a fan. Lovely and interesting adventure for a fun weekend.

The key system is a very challenging system to navigate. The room was not clean. We felt like we had walked into someone else’s room. The bed had been used. The towels were dirty. We were only given a partial refund. We’re completely done with VRBO.

No room key to get in, and had to request a master key. If I were an out of town guest I'd have been pissed off.

Birthday/Father's Day visit.

This building is old and beautiful. It's in a perfect location to walk to local eateries. The rooms were spacious and clean, the kitchen well stocked with necessities. My husband had a wonderful time for his special weekend.

A Period Gem in St. Joseph

This gem, lovingly equipped with period pieces, blends modern conveniences with late 19th century architecture. Warm and inviting, it's located high atop a bluff near the river, close to downtown St. Joseph. The location is convenient to I-229, yet far enough away to be quiet. Would definitely stay there again!

Winter stay!

Took awhile for the heater to warm up. Other than that is was everything they said it was. Snowy streets but nice stay.

Perfect for traveling worker or a quaint getaway

Gorgeous historic home. The private apartment was perfect for what I needed. Fully functional kitchen, plenty of space, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. Walkable to several great dinner spots, bars, and a brewery. Host was very responsive and accommodating; I was in town several days for work and needed to extend my trip, which she helped me do without adding any extra charges. Overall, I could not have asked for a better set up or value for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place

This was a quiet, convenient place. We enjoyed our stay here. We weren’t expecting to have a kitchenette in the room and that was really nice unexpected surprise. We had everything we needed. It was close to the downtown area. We had one minor issue and the property manager was quick to resolve it. We also really appreciated the quickness of the communication by the property manager. We would stay again.

I loved the Victorian style, the quality furniture and decor. My room was spacious and the kitchen was well-furnished. I would stay here again if I'm ever in St. Joseph again! I had a problem getting in the first time (the code would not open the key-holder), but when I contacted the owner, she responded quickly and resolved the problem with the help of the onsite room-cleaner.

Fairly new renovation of victorian mansion

Property is in a historic area of St. Joseph. Sidewalks and streets need attention. Street Parking somewhat dark. Property is obviously undergoing renovation and our apartment was quite adequate. Small Bathroom w/shower but room roomy. Windows still drafty (very old) but air conditioner worked very well. Queen bed very soft, nice linens. TV was confusing to us (seniors) w/o clear directions. Lovely old Victorian residences near. THIS definitely is an OLD section of city, but reasonably priced. Would stay there again.

HISTORY WITH ROBIDEUX

LOVED THE REVIVAL OF WHAT WAS ONCE CERTAINLY A 'GRANDE DAME' The fireplace that was triggered to come alive as the sun set was a special touch, the ancient bedframe , the carved designs on the chairs, the lobby came to life around the fireplace showcasing the iron cherubs, the banisters reflected a gorgeous wooden patina, the arched window frames, the circled Bay windows all added to the Victorian aspects of the mansion. The history of who built the home and when would be welcome as a brochure in each of the separate apartments. The entire stay was a welcome respite and in a quiet neighborhood. The location on the hill overlooking (almost) the Missouri River, the coziness of the neighborhood, and the ambiance of the interior rooms all contributed to the restful and enjoyable stay. I enjoyed meandering up and down Museum Hill District. along with the Robidoux Row Museum. Fascinating history

This property is Old, Dated, Dirty, don't be fooled by the pictures. It's old 1900's brick home turned into multi units, furniture is old, double bed, not even a queen, NO Dishwasher, Tiny Shower, cramped bathroom and toilet area, size of a half bath in normal world, old old furniture, extremely uncomfortable to sit in. Window AC Unit, not a good neighborhood, noisy outside, kitchen surfaces were sticky and uncleanable, better off sleeping in your car and eating out.

Great Location

The studio met all our needs. The sitting arrangement was nice but not comfortable. The space was very attractive. The kitchen and eating bar worked amazingly well. The bathroom, again, met all our needs. The location was amazing in that we could walk to many cafes and eating places. We enjoyed many of them. The house was so beautiful with all the woodwork. We would definitely recommend this place.
