Villa Marcela is located 1 mile from downtown La Fortuna, the house is an excellent option for families, friends and couples traveling together. There are 4 bedrooms with A/C units, three full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen area, WIFI (15 Megabytes) and Cable TV. Relaxing private pool and BBQ area to enjoy after your daily adventures. Great option to explore La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, very close to all main attractions.

Comfortable Villa just 3 minutes away from the central park of La Fortuna, great option for extended families and groups of friends.

Bedroom distribution:
Bedroom 1: King sized bed, private bathroom and A/C unit.
Bedroom 2: Full and single bed with A/C unit.
Bedroom 3: Two full beds with A/C unit.
Bedroom 4: Queen bed, A/C unit and private bathroom.
***This bedroom is outside the house by the pool area.
***Maximum people staying in the house is 11, however the base rate per night is for 6 people, each additional person will have an extra cost of US$25 per person per night so please add the total of people staying to get the correct amount to pay.

The villa is completely private for our guests, you do not share with anyone; we have other properties close by but each one has it own private entrance, every space between guests is separated. Property caretakers live on site taking care about maintenance of everything. Please check all of our house rules and add all the people staying, the house rate depends on how many people is staying, including kids.

We offer FREE PLANNING SERVICE for your transportation and tours in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, just let us know what you would like to do and we will help you to organize your vacations in our country with excellent rates and service. Once you book our property we will send you a detailed document with information about activities, transportation and more things about La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area.

We have a small Tour Office named The House of Tours, which can organize any transportation from/to La Fortuna and any place in Costa Rica with bilingual drivers, comfortable units with A/C (Toyota Hi-Ace or Hyundai H1 2017/2018/2019 models) and excellent customer service. Also we can help you plan your tours in La Fortuna with the best rates, just let us know what you have on your mind and we will help you creating an itinerary during your stay.

Also we can help you arrange Costa Rican meal at La Casa de La Tortilla (Just steps away from your house), which is located by the property and Guiselle and Antonio will be glad to host you and prepare the bests Costa Rican meals, in their house they have a little restaurant and a typical Costa Rican kitchen where they serve the meals, once you book you can ask for the menu and in case you want we can get you private chef services in the house.

We had a wonderful time at this location! From the moment we were greeted at the property to the time we drove away we were comfortable! The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious and the air-conditioning in each bedroom worked well. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary dishes. The pool was beautiful and we felt safe! We would come back to this location and would highly recommend!!

Wonderful location, beautiful view!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Marcella. The location is so convenient and the home is absolutely beautiful! The only challenge we had was when it came time to cook dinner. The villa didn’t have any baking sheets or foil, and was limited in number of plates, silverware and paper towels. Overall would highly recommend!

Great Location

Stayed here with a group of 8 adults. Great location that was a quick drive to town and a short trip to most popular locations in the area. Gated property that felt safe the entire time we were there.

Family and Friends trip to Costa Rica

We loved staying in this home . It was a perfect location to get to all of our activities, close to restaurants. The pool was wonderful and the kitchen gave us the option to cook a nice breakfast a couple of mornings. The only suggestion I have is that the steps going into the pool were a little slippery and one of our friends actually slipped going into the pool. It might be great to add a hand rail. Overall, we absolutely loved our time in Costa Rica!

Outstanding stay!

We had an outstanding stay in Villa Marcella. The property was just as advertised and the location was perfect. Close to town, but still quiet and alone! Felt safe our whole visit. Had a maintenance issue the first night and they came out first thing in the morning to fix, on a Sunday! Mario, our host, was very pleasant to work with and had great communication all through the booking, including booking all our excursions to include transportation. He was very knowledgeable of the area and gave many recommendations from where to eat, order in, and shop. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the La Fortuna area.

Spacious and well equipped property in La Fortuna

We stayed here for four nights while in La Fortuna. The check in process was to go to their office in town and then a representative takes you to the property and explains everything. This process was smooth and the rep was very friendly. The place is fantastic, well maintained and extremely clean. We could not have asked for a better place. The location is great, about a 90 second drive into “downtown”. I would highly recommend this place.

Comfortable house

The house was perfect for our group of 3 couples. The only negative was the sewer smell the first evening. I contacted the property manager and it was corrected the next day. Also, the 4th bedroom and bathroom must be accessed from out side the main house. The pool was clean and refreshing. Kitcen was well appointed and spacious. Proximity to La Fortuna was great. View of volcano was great if you can catch it before the cloud cover. We would stay again:)

Great house plan. True to picture. Only draw back was the size of the shared bathroom. No space on bathroom vanity. None at all. Could not even leave a toothbrush out. No place for toilet paper. Toilet paper was on top of toilet. Hard to reach. The other bathrooms are very large but this shared bath was extremely very small. Lack of hot water after 2 showers. Water was freezing cold. Had to wait about 2 hours for water to become warm ( not hot). Other than that the house is absolutely beautiful!

We Loved It!

This property is wonderful! It worked out perfectly for our group. The house seems newly renovated. The pool was great and kept very clean. I want to also thank Alonso for all of his help. Before we arrived he helped with making our arrangements as far as activities. While we were there he helped with getting us transportation when it was not provided. He was wonderful to deal with. The house was located not far from town(the younger crowd was fine with the walk) but after all we did the older crowd was happier with a taxi or uber. Would stay here again!

Beautiful little villa

This place was great for tripping with a large group or family around Arenal. It is perfectly located on the outskirts of Fortuna, walking distance from Salto Falls rope swing, downtown and one of our favourite restaurants in La Fortuna, Tiquicia. It is also a short drive from many of the most popular attractions in the Arenal area and, if you do not have transportation, Eder and team can easily book and organize trips for you. The house is spacious with a lovely little kitchen with a good sized fridge, charcoal bbq and laundry. The bedrooms are a good size and there is even a separate more private bedroom with an onsuite bathroom that is close to the pool. The property has lots of flowers and trees which attract some beautiful birds. Sitting with a tea in the morning to watch the humming birds feed on the birds of paradise was a real treat. If you are not into cooking on your vacation they serve lovely home cooked meals on the villa. You can have authentic Costa Rican food, which they will even teach you to cook, or North American options are also available. The cook does not speak English but this is not a problem even if you are not willing to learn a few words of Spanish ahead of time. My only complaint from the stay is that I would have liked the garbage picked up more frequently. There was also a lot of renovation work going on in the neighbouring homes which was noisy at times in the morning but if you are out doing activities a lot, as we were, this is not a big problem. Not any .ore noisy than the howler monkeys are in other locations. Overall the place was excellent and I would stay there again in a heart beat.

We had a really great stay at Villa Marcela. It is perfectly located just off the main road in La Fortuna so you are close to all the action but out of the way a bit. There is plenty of space at the house for everyone to have their own rooms. The kids loved playing in the pool in the evening after a long day of exploring. There is tons to do all within about an hour drive of the house, including arenal volcano, zip lines, river tubing, waterfalls, El Salto rope swing, and so much more.

Our names are Eder Cruz & Allen Murillo, two good friends that have more than 15 years of experience working in tourism in La Fortuna, we grew up La Fortuna and decided to work together creating Home Vacations La Fortuna on May 2015, our main goal: Make things easier and simple for our guest.
