The cabin and property were great. Everything was ideal especially the dock, the beach was a minute ride with the boat and Charlie’s Bar was right across the way.
We stayed at the cottage for a week in July of 2025. We had a wonderful time. The lake is clean and the view is lovely. My 2 grandsons had the best time swimming and looking at the eagles, loons and we even had a sea plane land in the lake a few times. Crandon is a very friendly town and we also took a day trip to Eagle River. We would love to come back next year.
My family and I rented this cabin over the 4th of July week/weekend. The Cabin itself was very nice! Plenty of places to sleep. Big kitchen with a big kitchen table that fit the whole family at dinner time! We were able to launch our boat at the public launch and dock on the pier. Very very clean lake! The kids enjoyed the big yard, boat rides, the beach down the road. Overall this was a much needed family getaway and would definitely love to come back! Dan the host was very informational, accommodating, and always in constant communication to make sure you had everything you needed. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin and host!
We had this clean cabin waiting for us. All of our needs were met, ie: dishes, linens, outdoor chairs, grill and firepit. The clear lake was spectacular to view and enjoy. Our family enjoyed quiet, quiet, and more quiet. Lovely!

Nice home, nice people!
We had a wonderful stay at this home in Crandon.
Pros:
-Owners are very responsive and accommodating which was wonderful
-Property was clean, well cared for and functional
-Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we could have needed (pots and pans were good quality as well with every size needed)
-Firepit was large and allowed for all to gather around without issue
-Neighbors were friendly
-Furnishings were decent/newer
-Eat in kitchen table was awesome. Spent every night (after a bonfire) here playing games with the family as well as gathering for meals.
-Casino is 10 min away (if you’re into that!)
-wildlife was amazing. Deer(and fawns), eagles, loons, fox and frogs/toads to name a few! Didn’t see any bears and we were ok with that lol
-Firewood self serve just down the road in town (reasonably priced)
-Grill was nice and in good condition
-Kids swam a lot (water is very clear)
-Garbage can be taken to the dump during your stay which kept bugs to a minimum (be prepared to empty recycle contents from their bag/container into the compactor though)
Cons:
-Water pressure in showers was very low
-Boat dock area is very shallow (as indicated in the listing) so be cautious with boat getting into dock
-Fishing from dock is difficult due to shallow water and tall grasses. Be prepared to bring/rent a boat or use one of the kayaks provided to fish away from shore.
-Can only fish from the east side of the dock due to boats and more vegetation on the west side which was fine for us as we had a boat but could be a deterrent for some
-home is not as secluded as photos make it appear. Neighbors on all sides. The neighbor (and his dog) behind this home walks through the property (along the fence line) to get to the lake. This was a little unsettling with having our dog (leashed) outside. Just felt weird having a stranger walking through our backyard like an invasion of privacy. He was friendly but still awkward.
-Only one window A/C unit in the home which isn’t efficient to keep dampness low. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, however, having someone with asthma and other respiratory issues proved this to be an issue.
Overall this was a great home in a nice area! Lake views are amazing, it’s quiet and sunrises/sunsets are gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay.
I would recommend to most (just not to very private individuals or people with breathing issues in summer).
We loved our time at this cabin! We comfortably fit 6 adults and two teenagers in there, plus two dogs, over Labor Day weekend. The view of the lake is wonderful, but the best part was the community. The neighbors here are some of the nicest people that my husband and I have ever met, no joke. Wave and introduce yourself, you won't be sorry!
This cabin was clean, roomy, and the perfect distance from everything in town and the Crandon race track. We'll be back next year!
Had a wonderful week at the lake with our 8 kids (ages 19 to 2). The cabin was perfect for us. Everyone enjoyed the very clear water, the fire pit, the nearby sandy beaches, and Charlie’s restaurant. Grateful for Jenny and Dan’s quick communication and help.
Cute, cozy and warm! Easy access to the snowmobile trails! Ice fishing right out the back yard! Sunrise are amazing! Easy communication with the owners! Group of 9 adults have a blast! Thank you!
We stayed here for a couple of nights with friends fishing. The contact with Dan and Jenny was spectacular. They were awesome to work with and would love to stay here again during the summer. Thanks for making our stay in crandon go off without a hitch
Life gets chaotic, and we needed a place to take our family for a week away. If you want five-star accommodations or are looking for a place to have a loud party, please keep looking. If, though, you want to be "up north" in a quiet setting on a beautiful lake that's several steps up from camper-camping, just stop and make your reservation now. This house is right on the lake giving easy access to sandy bottom, shallow, clear water perfect for kayaking, swimming, or watching the multitude of ducks swimming right past. This is a QUIET neighborhood, so please don't stay here if you want to have a loud party. The neighbors have lived in the area for generations and are friendly. This is a cottage, not a 5-star hotel, so water pressure can be spotty and there's only one window unit air conditioner, but we all had hot showers, and there's plenty of shade and breeze to make even the muggiest day comfortable. Beds were comfortable, washer & dryer worked well, and kitchen has the basic supplies needed. It's a 10-minute or so drive to the downtown, and they've got a decent grocery store & some cute shops for women (Tricia's has a nice variety of things AND has really great sandwiches & wraps) and there's a hunting/fishing shop for guys. The provided chaise lounge chairs by the water are comfortable, there's plenty of flat grass area for kids to run around, the two kayaks included were much-appreciated by me, and there's a picnic table & bonfire pit that were ready to be used. Internet is spotty but if you've got Verizon like we do you should have access. We would love to come back!!
