The whole domaine

The estate of approximately 3000m2 is located a few steps from the village center of Villamblard.
The admirable 18th century country house, La Bastide was built in the typical architectural style of Périgord around two 15th and 16th century houses.
The house consists of a building flanked by two pavilions. The other wing, which is fitted with a mansard roof, is a fine annexe, which was formerly stables.
The Bastide du Roy country house has been renovated according to its authenticity and its character has been retained to verify a pleasant and comfortable resting place and location.

We were a big group - 7 families with kids - and rented the whole property for a week of birthday celebrations. We had a fantastic time lounging by the pool, playing in the garden, relaxing with a BBQ and exploring the local area.The house is absolutley stunning. Spacious and well equiped with enough outdoor seating to enable us to all enjoy the pool and eat together indoors or outside in the beautiful courtyard. Rudolf and Sylvie are on site, but very discreet. Happy to let us chat outdoors late into the night but there if we needed them. It was a holiday to remember and we are already talking about coming again.

The best most accommodating host and hostess

Beautiful and rare place to stay in a beautiful part of France. Rudolf and Sylvie went so far out of their way to work out our (probably unusually awkward) requirements. A lesson in hosting. We came with our whole staff team and it couldn’t have been better. I’m coming back here again even if I can’t think of a proper reason!

Idéal pour grand groupe

depuis 15 ans que nous louons une maison pour passer Noël en famille, cette propriété est une des plus belles. À noter surtout, un équipement complet. Rien ne manque! Une seule ombre au tableau: le tirage de la cheminée ne marchant pas, impossible de faire un feu de bois, ce qui aurait ajouter un peu plus de chaleur dans le grand salon et d'ambiance de Noël. Mais 20/20. Et en été ce doit être encore mieux! Les propriétaires sont charmants et prêts à aider.

Cadre enchanteur !

Nous avons passé 5 jours entre amis dans ce gîte privatisé (18 personnes). La maison est magnifique avec une belle cour intérieure, les chambres sont très confortables et bien décorées, la piscine est grande et très bien exposée. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Rudolf et Sylvie sont des hôtes charmants.

A beautiful house in an idyllic location

Rudolf and Sylvie are excellent hosts. The rooms are comfortable. There is plenty of communal space inside and out. There is a pool and garden space. This property was perfect for us as an extended family with a wide age range of children. The area has plenty of place to visit and things to do nearby. I hope we will be back one day and we would definitely want to stay here again.
