Communication was great, location was great, house could have had a quick cleaning before we arrived. Super to have a pontoon right there to rent for the week. We always enjoy the Northwoods
Beautiful location and being in Mid-September no neighbors around so nice and quiet. Heat restriction - 65 degrees would have been an issue, but warm and no bugs, so we had an awesome time.

More of a fishing cabin
Could not sleep on the beds, very old and uncomfortable.
My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids 7 and under) had a wonderful week at this cabin. The living room is a lot bigger than you'd think, the outside chairs and table were great for eating at, and the pier had plenty of room to park our boat. Fishing and swimming off the pier was great for the little kids. Highly recommend this cabin and we hope to go back!
To all,
This a great cabin right on the water with a great swing area for kids. Our family spent most morning working or doing summer school online and then afternoons swimming or relaxing on the dock. The cabin has grown over the years, and we all had our own choice in finding the most appropriate bed comfort. With everything provided (e g. kayaks, refig w/ ice marker, grill), we didn't need to bring any accessory items like kitchenware, lifejackets and linen.
Jim was very responsive and put an above average service with the pontoon rental. He came up and served it before arriving. He ensured the cabin has books, Wifi and movies available for the kids in the event of a rainy day.
Fishing on the pontoon in the area went well. The dock provided some even pan fish in the evening.
The neighborhood was very quiet and respectful even during the busy lake weekends.
The cabin was outfitted with plenty of hand sanitizer, soap and cleaning products during the COVID-19 stuff which provided piece of mind.
Thanks for everything Jim!
There actually is a boat landing on the far south side of Cranberry Lake. It’s not very official, but it’s good enough for a power boat or pontoon.
I rented his 24’ pontoon boat with 70 hp motor and it worked great all week. He even has one side cut open with an extra hinge to make it wheel chair accessible!...a rare find.
Owner is very available by phone and has relatives 1 lake over so any issues can be dealt with quickly if we needed help. We blew an electrical box breaker with our electric skillet and too many items plugged in...typical cabin stuff and he responded quick for us to find the box and flip it back.
Overall I would highly recommend this property as a great place to stay less than :10 minutes from town for groceries.
I had a great week at the Thrush cabin. Very relaxing

Great location, beautiful lake, ample room to stay.
The cottage felt very homey & had everything we needed (including Wifi!). Cranberry lake is absolutely beautiful and the view from the pier is even better. Our college kids loved being there and especially enjoyed laying out on the pier, fishing, boating, and kayaking. We also really enjoyed the lakeside campfire. The pictures definitely do not do the place justice. Overall, the cottage was very nice and quaint. We would highly recommend!
