About this property

Welcome to our happy place, where we go to get away on a peaceful 60-acre spring fed lake. A two-story waterfront house that is far enough away to give you the secluded feel, but still close to everything you need. Such as dining, golfing, shopping, hiking and many other wonderful things Tennessee has to offer.

Laurel Lake is in a private community that prides itself in the laid-back atmosphere it provides. Whether its a relaxing stroll on a kayak or fishing for catfish off the beach, you will surely enjoy the peace and quiet.

The house has multiple levels of outdoor space that overlook the lake. Enjoy a meal on a sunny deck with lounge seating and dining tables. A staircase leads down to the lower deck that feature more lounge chairs and a large umbrella. Take three steps down and have your feet on the sandy beach or set sail on a water device of your choice.

As for the house itself, it's all about the lake view. The living room has cathedral ceilings with three large windows providing plenty of natural light. The living area, kitchen and master all have french doors opening to the back deck. The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and a large dining table. Upstairs you will find two guest rooms that both have full size bunks and an additional full in each room.

Great stay, but property needs maintenance

We had a great time at Laken It Easy, so it’s hard to leave a negative review. The property is badly in need of maintenance. The pristine beach in the photos needs sand, there is black plastic sticking out everywhere making it look really trashy. The deck is caved in on one side, and there are boards screwed in on top of boards to cover holes, creating trip hazards on the stairs. The deck furniture is on its last legs. To be fair, the owner sent us an email, AFTER we arrived assuring us the deck was being replaced in a month. We contemplated contacting VRBO about the safety hazards presented by the deck, but knew the only remedy would be to pack up our two small children after a five hour car ride and go to another rental. We chose the lesser of two evils and stayed. It would have been nice if the owner had contacted us in advance, with pictures and given us the opportunity to cancel or reschedule our stay. Not wait until we were already there to warn us about the condition of the property. We would stay here again, if, and only if, the property is maintained better.

Fall break

Enjoyed staying at this property. Property was clean with more than adequate supplies for the week we were there. Used adult kayaks, child/small adult kayaks and paddle boards also available to use. Decks are large with plenty of seating. Neighborhood is quiet. Owner was quick to answer any questions we had, both before our stay & during our stay!
