Plenty of space for a large group!!! Game room was constantly in use when we were back at the house. We had trouble finding the house late at night (no fault of the owner) use Apple Maps over Google maps! Also make sure to check out the lighthouse & SeaFront Bakery Co. in Crescent City. Thank you again for the amazing stay!!!
This is a well cared for property with plenty of room, comfortable beds, and total care all through. It is a great base for exploring the redwoods north and south. Strong internet. Recommend a trip to a larger grocery on the way there as the local offerings are smaller.
We enjoyed the stay a lot. We also were presently surprised when we saw everything the house had to offer. The location is perfect and I genuinely enjoyed the country feel this property offered. We will definitely be coming back.
We enjoyed this home. Just make sure you have your directions and check-in code well before you arrive because you likely won't have service in the area.
Our family had the privilege to stay a couple days and had a very nice experience.
The small touches of cows in the back field to scrabble in front room.
Huge home with plenty of space and the views are priceless. Feels like hime!
The house and yard are lovely and comfortable. Lots of little added amenities that made the stay easier. Easy access and a full range of kitchen and laundry supplies. With kids and teens, this made our stay more comfortable. Fun accessories like frisbees, pool table, and a large range of DVDs kept the kids happy when we weren't adventuring. Excellent communication with the host. Be aware that internet access is very limited in the area. Great way to unplug but paper maps might be a good idea if you want to adventure around the parks.
Pulling up to this property, we were impressed by the size of the yard. Equally impressive was the home itself and quite an upgrade over the neighboring homes.
What our families loved were the amenities, the relative proximity to the Redwoods and the fully stocked home.
The kids played pool for hours on end, air hockey was also a plus. Horse shoes and the fire pit in the backyard, which had an amazing view. The grill worked like a charm and everything was clean.
It was nice to have a good washer and dryer available. The water was nice and hot as well.
The only downside would be the internet service if you want it is poor. Use the living room to make calls or work online. They do have Wi-Fi but it is slow because that is all that is available on the area.
Overall a wonderful place to stay. We would liked to have extended our stay. If we go back to the Redwoods I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The hosts here extremely accommodating and everyone that we talked to in the neighborhood was super friendly! The house is very spacious, clean, and the grounds are well taken care of, with cows in the neighboring field :) Would love to come back someday.
The Farm House was a perfect central location for exploring the Redwoods. It was huge (more than we needed), comfortable, and certainly met all of our needs and so much more. The owners, Walter and Tasha, were very attentive to our needs: the power went off one night and they quickly arrived to check on us and make certain that we had found their battery operated lanterns/candles, Walter made repairs to a toilet the day we arrived, and they even mailed to us our battery charger that we accidentally left in their home. We certainly enjoyed our time there. Many thanks, again, Tasha and Walter!
The house was wonderful! There was plenty of space (more bathrooms than listed!) for our group of 9, lots of fun activities, and it was in a great location to visit Crescent City, Orick, Eureka, Hiouchi, the redwoods, and the Smith River!
Beautiful extra large property with epic view out backyard.
1) Extra-large house and yard with backyard epic view on the mountains 2) Really close to Mystery of Trees (15 mins), Drive-thru Redwood tree (5 mins) and 45 from Jedediah Smith Redwood Park (45 mins).3) bedding feels like you are sleeping in the clouds.4) Hostess has thought of every amenity you can think of and that you might need. 5) Game room and backyard are amazing.6) Super easy process!
We came here to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our children and their families. Loved the homey atmosphere. The well stocked kitchen, the large yard, the family room, and the game room were all big plusses. Our favorite sightseeing spot was Fern Canyon. We did miss the refrigerator ice maker not working.
Tons of space on the property, rooms were huge, plenty of options to spread out over the house. The backyard was perfect for the fire pit and playing! We had a larger group of mixed ages, everyone had a great time. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped. We also made full use of the game room. All in all a wonderful time, would definitely book here again for our next trip out west.
The property itself, is beautiful and large. Enjoyed being so close to the redwoods and having a relaxing home to lounge in that was big enough for my family.
We had a wonderful time at this property while visiting the Redwood National and State parks. Our family included two seniors, parents and children of all ages. This home provided a home away from home with the VERY spacious interior that included comfortable beds and 4 bathrooms. I really appreciated the attention to detail with cleanliness and with items like maps and information to help us with our visit to the Redwoods, firewood available for use in the home and fragrance free products that were available for use in the laundry room. Our kids also loved the highlight of the Roomba vacuum. Our family thoroughly enjoyed all the games supplied at this home, including darts, pool and the basketball court outside. The kitchen made it beyond easy to feed our large family as we love to cook and prepare meals when on vacation. We visited the farm animals at the property out back and my kids loved seeing the new babies from spring. There was also a fire pit that we had hoped to use but we simply ran out of time. Really, there is just endless things to do because this home is located in such an amazing location for Redwood exploration. We saw whales at the Klamath Overlook, we spent time for our littles at the Trees of Mystery, we saw sea lions, seals and locals, fishing for lamprey eel at the beach. We walked various trails where we experienced the forest giants up close and personal. We highly recommend this property and if we return to the Redwoods we will stay again.
