Welcome to the Golden Oaks cabin in beautiful Wears Valley nestled near the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. We are grateful to have one of the most popular cabins in the area. Hopefully our amazing reviews from our incredible guests help to tell that story.

Beautiful, clean cabin, nice quiet street. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard, we loved the screened in front porch. Check in was easy and we were messaged by the owner to check on how everything was going. We will definitely look into staying here again next time we vacation in this area

Wonderful Stay

We booked our stay for a week in July to suprise our boys with a birthday trip to the Titanic museum. The house was very clean, smelled wonderful. It had everything we needed for a week's stay. I loved the extra blankets and all the extra seating. Lots of choices to choose from for a good reading session!We loved the enclosed porch - perfect for mornings! The fenced in backyard was a huge plus! The area is quiet. We also loved the neighborhood pool access!It is a great location to travel to Pigeon Forge and the National Park. The Owners were very responsive to any inquiry I had. You can tell how much they care.

Wonderful Cabin!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this spacious, clean cabin. Our poodles loved the huge fenced-in yard. It was the perfect place to spend some quality time as a family- we made a lot of memories that we will never forget.

Loved the Area and Cabin

My husband and I travel every year to Tennessee, the cabin was close to all of the attractions and Cades Cove.We have 2 dogs a French bulldog and a Australian Shepherd and they LOVED the fenced in yard!My Aussie didn't want to come in, especially after it snowed!The cabin was very well maintained, and had all of the essentials we needed for our stay!The Owner wrote and asked if we needed anything just let him know!We will definitely be returning to this cabin when we go to Tennessee next year!We stayed for 5 days and wish we could have stayed longer!Thank you so much for the wonderful time in your cabin!

Close to national park and pigeon forge

We had a great stay at this beautifully maintained property. Pride of ownership shined through. All of the furniture was very comfortable and some nice outdoor furniture as well. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway

The house was perfect. Clean, layout was nice, necessities were there, and our dog loved it. It’s hard to find a pet friendly place that is actually comfortable pets.

Our second time staying here

We love this place so much. It is just perfect for us and our dog. We plan to return when we are able to. My husband is on chemo and it helps him relax. The hot tub is what he enjoys the most.

Spacious and lovely

We had a great stay at the cabin and just wished we could have spent more time there. Very spacious and wonderful for small kids with the screened in porch and fenced area. Lots of wildlife to enjoy as well. Mathew was very nice to work with as well.

Valley Vaca

The place is great, it has big fenced yard for the dogs, tree's for shade, all good. The home for a 2 bedroom is quite spacious, 2 Living rooms also, the weather was great, oh did I mention the screened porch, that was real nice.

Loved the fire pit

Matthew made everything easy from check in to check out. It was easy to find the property and it was in a nice location. Pets enjoyed the dunces in yard and screened in porch. Very spacious and comfortable.

Place to love to return..

The cabin is spacious..clean..and great location-secluded from busy Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg..but not too far..Outdoor space is great- specially if you come with the dog and small children..Communication with the owner was also great..we had a beautiful time here and definitely will return.. Only small suggestion-please supply kitchen with more kitchen needs like aluminum foil, plastic wrap,more garbage bags..its more convenient and very handy for your guests.. Thank you!

Perfect Location

I was looking for a property with easy access to Townsend where I was taking a photography course, visiting various locations in GSMNP. The property exceeded all expectations-easy access to Townsend with roads that are easy to navigate, fenced in yard for the dog, spacious living space, the pool table turned out to be used often, and all amenities we needed readily available. The property is tastefully decorated, unlike many VRBO's where you feel the owner has decorated with old family 'stuff'. Excellent internet and flat screen TVs were also a plus. This is the first time we felt 5 stars were deserved.

Great Cabin, Great Stay!

We loved our stay! The cabin was spacious and clean, with lots of space both indoors and outdoors. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two family room/dens along with a good kitchen and dining area. Appliances were new in the kitchen, and the cabin was decorated beautifully for fall. The fire pit outside was awesome, and there was also a dining set in the back deck and rocking chairs on the front porch. Plenty of seating inside and out. The host, Mathew, was great at checking in with us after we settled in and as we were leaving. We had no issues in which we needed to contact him but I feel certain that if we had any problems, he would be prompt in responding. We hope to stay again sometime!

Great flatlands rental in the mountains

We picked this vacation rental based on reviews and the fenced area for our Italian Greyhounds. They loved being able to race at full speed and burn off some of their pent up energy. Very hard to find this type of outlet for them in a vacation rental. The house was clean and furniture reasonably comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened porch area in the early morning and late afternoon. The house was easy to get to without having to navigate the treacherous roads that many rentals have in this area. We have rented more than a dozen rentals in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area over the past 2 decades and Golden Oaks would definitely rank near the top of our list. The local pool and snack bar/deli would be a great spot for families with kids to enjoy. We had a good time, would recommend the rental to others, and will possible visut Golden Oaks again.

Perfect in All Aspects!

Everything about the description of cabin and property was exactly as described. As we pulled in we were in awe with the gorgeous property and surrounding areas. I don’t know who was more excited with the fenced area, us or our dogs! The cabin interior was beautifully decorated and cozy throughout! There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of extra bedding. We spent most of our time enjoying the cabin and outdoors and only adventured out a couple times. We were too busy sitting on the deck, screened in front porch, playing with the dogs, shooting some pool, playing cards, sitting in a clean and refreshing hot tub and sitting by the fire pit making s’mores and looking at the stars! We even got a pretty good late night show each night from the Synchronous Fireflies each night. Plenty of exterior seating on the deck and fire pit area. The Owners were great! Although we did not get to meet Mathew in person we were able to speak with him. Within an 1/2 hr of arriving I contacted him to see if we could stay another night. Unfortunately it was already rented. Very close to the Smokies, Coves Cave, tubing and waterfalls. It’s close to Pigeon Forge however we were more into enjoying the outdoors than the attractions! We love being so close to one of the back door entrances to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is convenient and less busy. Having such a peaceful setting with access to a great pool and fishing pond is wonderful. Also being a short drive from all that Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Townsend have to offer is very convenient.
