Everything was very nice. The super steep driveway was a little intimidating, but other than that, it was great. Beautiful location - amazing views - very quiet.
Very nice place, a home away from home. Just bring your food and personal items. Free use of the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. It's remote but still within easy driving distance to many places (Lake George, Ausable Chasms, etc.).
Location was wonderful. Close proximity to every place, yet extremely peaceful for relaxing.
Beautiful view of Hudson was serene, very relaxing. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Location was wonderful. Owner checked to be sure all was well. We would definitely stay again.
It is a nice family cottage with character. The kayaking was relaxing. Pretty spot right near the water. Enjoyed having a camp fire a few of the nights. Our host was helpful and kind.
The cabin (albeit slightly aged) is in wonderful condition and can easily accommodate a family of five who, aren’t seeking pampering and luxuries. Perfect location on and view of The Hudson. All the water toys you need. If you bring your own food supplies, you have all you need to prepare it. You never have to leave until it’s time to leave. Thank you Dave!
This is our 4th time staying at this accomodation and it gets better and better. Just a perfect getaway for some fishing, boating, hiking and pure R&R. David is an excellent host and will always be around to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back next year!
The property is in an ideal location close to Lake George and Saratoga. Very quiet with hiking trails nearby and fishing available onsite. David the host was great and made sure all accommodations were taken care of. We will definitely be back.
Very nice property. Beautiful river, peace and quiet.
Excellent. We spent our time attending the Adirondack Balloon Fest. Only 20 minutes away. Down time spent row boating, fishing and games. Would go back again!!!
This is our fourth time staying at this cabin this is our favorite spot. Perfect for fishing everything you need all there. David is a great host, I'm sorry we didn't get to see him on this trip.
Great cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything! Perfect views of State property across the river, so no noise, lights, or bothers day or night. David provides enough boats/kayaks/gear so all five of us could be on the water together. Very relaxing experience.
The cottage was at the bottom of a very steep driveway. It was very quiet and relaxing. We were right on the Hudson River. Beautiful view. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for a nice little getaway. David, the host was very nice.
A quaint cottage on the Hudson River near lots of great activities. Fabulous screened in porch. You could sit out there all day and gaze at the gorgeous view. Very quiet and peaceful. The host is excellent- very responsive and clearly cares about the property. It had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.
My family enjoyed our stay. It seems like you’re on your own island. Couldn’t beat the fishing, boats, kayaks, etc. all within steps of the cottage. The view was stunning and an all around relaxing vacation. Close enough to all attractions and far away enough from the crowds. My teen also rates the internet speed A++.

Dear Marie,
Thanks for your kinds words. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the amenities worthwhile. I was also glad to hear your teen was happy with the internet! It's always one of the first questions we get...."How's the internet there"? Thank him for verifying that for me!
We hope to see you again for your future vacation plans!
Regards,
David
Location location location. This cottage was perfect.Peaceful, but also very close to shopping for last minute essentials. Puppies loved the water, and the sunsets were stunning from the enclosed porch. The owner was wonderful for responding to questions and was so welcoming to his home, and telling us the history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.

Stayed in July. Description on Vrbo was not accurate. Missed a lot of kitchen items that were mentioned! Followed hosts directions about things that needed to be done while we stayed but nothing on hosts end was takin care of! Trash, recycling if towels or bed sheets were washed!
Our stay at the cabin was relaxing! The kayaking was awesome. It was more like a lake than the Hudson River. We saw tons of wildlife, even saw a Bald Eagle!! Location is wonderful, so close to everything. We went horseback riding and did the rail bikes at revolution rail in North Hudson. David, the owner, was really great! Very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure meeting him and hearing stories about the cabin. We hope to come back soon!

Peaceful and Relaxing!
This cottage was exactly what my family and I were looking for. The setting is beautiful as well as secluded. Our 5 year old enjoyed swimming in the lake by day and making s'mores by night :) David is very pleasant and hospitable, ensuring we had everything we needed including fresh batteries for the fishing boat we rented, firewood for the campfire, and propane for the gas grill. He also brought down a whole collection of outside toys such as frisbees and badmitton. The inside of the cottage is quaint, but has everything you would need in a home. We will definately be looking to stay at this cottage in the future!
My husband and I brought our two small pups and we had a terrific time. The cabin had everything we needed. We brought our own groceries and cooked dinner on the gas grill every night.
The location of this cabin is awesome. Rowboat, canoes, kayaks and a peddle boat were steps away. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit overlooking the beautiful river, mountains and abundant wildlife. The cabin has a fantastic porch which also provides for a gorgeous view.
We had such a great time and we hope to return next year.
David, the owner is so nice and helpful. He is a phone call away if you need anything. David, thanks for sharing your private slice of paradise with us!

I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. I try to provide everything you need so you don't have to pack anything but your clothes. Thank you staying and I look forward to hopefully seeing you next year!

We visit the Lake George/Saratoga area often and enjoy trying out new places each time but we will be back here. The place was centrally located, easy off/on to the thruway. The pictures didn't do this place justice and really need to be updated due to changes in the property/inside of house. The house had all our basic needs, the enclosed porch was enjoyable to have with all the rain we had and the outdoor space was so peaceful with the chipmunks running around. Our lab loved running down to the river but found the stream running along the property more fun to play in with his ball. Hopefully next time we will have a chance to use the numerous boats they supplied. One note: be prepared for the steep driveway! We came in during a heavy rain with my suburban and it definitely was a surprise.

Had to leave do to cockroaches.
On the second day I saw a cockroach crawl out from under the toaster and my friend found one in the bathroom. David the property owner apologized for the roaches. He offered to give me a refund but to date has not followed through.
