We were welcomed by Ruth, who was very helpful. The villa is amazingly beautiful, the view is absolutely stunning and and the decor is Ottoman inspired. Very tasteful! The place is clean and tidy and the kitchen well equipped.
The only downside is the remote location and sketchy wifi. If you're squeamish about drivning in the mountains, this is not the place for you. But if you can manage, this is the most amazing view you'll ever enjoy!

Dear Süleyman,
thank your very much for the nice evaluation of our villa.
We are very sorry about the Wifi. We now got the information from the provider, that the lines in the area have been damaged.
Until they are repaired we will provide an mobile internet stick as replacement solution
Best regards
Everything about our stay and the house was just perfect. The house is very well appointed and maintained, there wasn’t anything we felt was missing.
The pool and the view and the fantastic kitchen, really meant we didn’t feel the need to do very much, which is what we needed at the time.
You do need a car and the roads are a little hairy, but being upgraded at the moment.
There were only 2 of us, but the house really set up for 6 people with plenty of room for all both inside and out.
The 2 resident cats are very cheeky and added to the fun of our stay. Feeding them is optional, but make sure and add cat food to your grocery list!
Ruth was there to greet us, show us around and give us any local tips. Communication was prompt with both Gernot and Ruth.
A really great stay.
The house is just as advertised and even better. Beautiful stylish interior and yard, stunning sea view, thoughtful layout, good engineering systems (water pressure, etc), fully equipped kitchen, privacy - house has it all, even its own ancient ruins in the yard corner. Mobile internet is even better than cable as it works during occasional power outages. Communication with Ruth and Gernot is easy and efficient.
The only downside was the main road renovation, so it was no so pleasant to go to Datca. Hopefully they will finish it by the next season. By the way the grocery in the village exceeded expectations with good bread, freshest local cheeses and nice selection of drinks.
Just keep in mind that the location is rather deep in the peninsula and it takes about 2 hours to get to the "mainland". So, activities and sightseeing beyond the peninsula could be tricky. On the other hand, the house is so beautiful and comfortable, the view is so magnificent, that it’s not a shame just to spend most of the time there.
Before we decided to stay at Gernot place, he answered all our questions with a pleasure and really short time. He was so nice and hospitable even on e-mail. He led us to contact to Ruth to show us the house and greet us. She was also really nice and she answered all our questions during our stay. The house was perfectly clean, the decoration was amazing. I am pretty sure that, i would stay all the time for all my trips at this house. Thank you so much for everything, you can stay and choose this place without even thing a second.
Thank you for the two weeks we had in this beautiful part of the world.
We have stayed in many houses and this was one of the very best. The property is built and furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals with the locally purchased fresh produce. There is plenty of space within the house and in the outside areas. The pool is kept crystal clean by a lovely couple. And the garden flowers in July were stunning.
The surrounding countryside is also beautiful, though remote - mountainous with plenty of olive and almond trees and very friendly residents. Take time to walk around the area it is well worth it.
You definitely need a car to enjoy your holiday here. There are some beautiful bays within easy drive of the house and we didn't see another European tourist! The beach front restaurants have small but fabulous menus, I am vegetarian but still found plenty to eat!
Dacta (20 mins drive away) and Eski Dacta are worth visiting. In Dacta harbour we hired a small boat for the 6 of us and had a fantastic day exploring the coastline, snorkelling and diving off the boat - I would recommend that.
Ruth was great and gave us good advice and was easy to contact via WhatsApp.
The views down to the sea from the house are magical and make me smile when I think of them.
If you like peace and quiet, beautiful nature away from it all, Villa Kaya is for you!

SIMPLY WONDERFUL!!!
Villa Kaya is a fantastic Villa, that has the most gorgeous view of the lovely village of Mesudiye and the beautiful sea. The Villa is extremely well equipped and has a stunning pool which I spent a lot of time in. The village is rustic and so pretty with a few good restaurants on the beach and a shop. If you want a bit more buzz then Palamutbuku is a short drive around the cost. Here there are classy bars by the beach and a butcher and a good green grocer. Datca is a charming town and worth a look around. You must try Datca Jam. There are lots of lovely little bays to explore and great walks in spring and autumn. You couldn't ask for more and I reluctantly write this review because this really is a wonderful place and I'm hoping it will retain it's natural beauty in the future and not become too touristy. For now though, I couldn't recommend this Villa and location highly enough. But.....shhhhhh....don't tell too many people!!!

Splendid home with a breathtaking view!
Dear Gernot,
Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your lovely home. Our stay was splendid and we very much loved the residence.
We both recognized how much effort and personal attention went into each detail of the design and furnishing of the home (we took some notes for how we would like to complete our home back in Canada). It felt like a dream being able to watch the world – and the lovely sailboats - pass by with that amazing sea view. I spent many hours staring out to the sea.
We also greatly enjoyed the rural and welcoming nature of Mesudiye and its people who were always eager to wave and say Merhaba. We were able to visit the Olive Farm and Eski Datca, hike around the ruins of Knidos and explore the many secluded bays around Datca peninsula. A day trip to the Bozburun peninsula was also enjoyable (visit for lovely waterfalls and authentic coastal towns like Selimiye). A car is highly recommended if staying in this villa.
Ruth was also excellent. She was very easy to communicate with via text message/Whatsapp, email and was only a phone call away. She was knowledgeable, provided great tips (like the best roads to take and to stop at the Saturday market in Datca town before going to the residence) and was at the house to greet us and show us around.
We very much hope to return.
Lee
