AOTA CONFERENCE STAY

The location was great for driving to and from or walking to the KC Convention center! Building was quiet when we wanted a break. Very close to some very highly recommended restaurants!

Inconsiderate terrible host

I cannot give a review of this property because upon our arrival, right at the time we should be checking in, our host sent me an email canceling our trip. She gave no apology and didn’t bother to call, she just said that the property had been sold and our trip was cancelled. She left us stranded. I had received emails the two days before confirming our arrival and the address of the property and the email said it contained check in information. It did not tell us how to check in so I began reaching out to the host directly. I called her numerous times and sent messages but she never had the common courtesy to respond. I’m sure that if the property was sold she knew that two days before. I can’t comprehend how she could let us travel there knowing we would not have a place to stay when we arrived. She still has never apologized, even when she sent the email cancelling the trip. I would never rent a property that she is hosting and feel that she should not be allowed to host. If this was my first time to use VRBO I would probably never trust them again, but it was just the terrible host we had that made the experience so bad, not the whole VRBO company. When I reached out to VRBO directly they were very helpful in helping us find our first night's stay at a hotel. The inaction of this host was inexcusable.

Would never stay here again

This was a very disappointing stay. Upon arrival it was clear the place had not been cleaned before we arrived as there were many signs of the guests who had stayed before us. There was trash in the kitchen and bathroom garbage cans, a pile of dirty sheets on the floor, no beds were made, and an open beer bottle left in the refrigerator. I’m not sure why there is a $75 cleaning fee since it is very clear no cleaning was done. The place also is not as nice as the pictures make it look. The lighting was poor and the battery(?) operated lights on both headboards did not work. The walls are very thin and we could hear everything going on in the hallway outside the unit. The only plus was the location, but I would not recommend this rental to anyone.
