Accommodations were awesome, and the management was very responsive to every request. The only minor issue is that the AC was locked and wouldn't go lower than 74 degrees and we found it warm in the unit at times.

Great location

It was close to everything, a short walk to Queen’s Marketplace and King Shops. The pool has a great view. It was cozy and comfortable and we would stay here again.

Great place to work remotely from Hawaii!

We loved our stay in Waikoloa. The property was really comfortable, clean and set up well for remote work. The villa was conveniently located to everything we needed including local coffee for our early morning work calls. I highly recommend this location.

Looks like the unit was renovated recently so everything felt brand new! Everything was super clean and the kitchen was well organized and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Also, great customer service was provided by Vacasa whenever I had questions.

Very nice!

Very nice unit. It has everything you need! It's spacious and in good condition. The only concern we had is even though it is described as a ground floor unit, 2 of the 3 bedrooms are upstairs. We are 3 older ladies and had trouble with our luggage.

All and all a great condo

Overall this rental was beautiful and spacious. We traveled with family friends in total 4 kids and 4 adults and never felt on top of each other. The early morning view of the mountain was spectacular. The location is walking distance to shops which was extremely convenient. Similar to previous reviews the hide-a-bed in the loft should not be used. The lining is not completely attached to the frame and mattress is horrible. I opted for the couch instead. The pool is not kid friendly, meaning rules state no toys, no excessive splashing, no jumping from the pool deck, or as my kids said, no fun. If you’re looking for a trip centered around golfing I suggest this spot. You’ll absolutely love it! If you’re looking for local restaurants and an “island feel” then this probably isn’t for you. For reference Kona is about a 30 minute drive from the condo.

Hi Brandon! Thank you for sharing your feedback and bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. The owners have bought a mattress topper to enhance comfort as well as a blow-up mattress for use as an alternative. The owners are actively looking for a new hide-a-bed option but it is proving to be difficult in getting one shipped here to Hawaii or to find any available options. About the pool, we have shared the information with the complex management but we have no control over these rules and operations, but apologies for the ruined fun experience. We will continue working with our local staff and homeowner to improve this home, and we hope you'll give us a second chance to impress you!

Beautiful Development - unit D1 needs attention

We encountered several issues on check in which we’re reported to the Vacasa -property manager which included: The Brita pitcher leaks and is not useable. Outdoor lanai chairs have the fabric separating from the frame and could be a hazard. The hide-abed in the loft is not useable - springs broken. All the bathtub drain plugs are not functional except the master bath. The lanai screen door handle is broken and the screen needs some work. the towel bar in the 2nd bedroom upstairs not properly attached to the wall. The twin bed mattresses need replacing. The lanai receptacle cover is not properly attached The 2nd bedroom ceiling fan is improperly installed and makes a ticking sound. The sliding Lanai door is very difficult to open and close. Only 2 kitchen stove burners work and are very difficult to regulate the temperature. The oven temperatures do not reflect the settings. The dishwasher interior bottom is rusting. These issues are not complaints, but are issues needing attention. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations. As a final note, none of the items mentioned in our phone call or original email had been dealt with prior to us leaving on November 28. For the entire visit, we were unable to use the hide-abed for our granddaughter and she had to sleep on the couch. The booking indicated this unit accommodates 8 …. We weren’t able to comfortably accommodate 7.

Fabulous Time and location

Perfect location only 5 minutes from beach and pool. Very well equipped kitchen and plenty of beach chairs and toys. Definitely would recommend it for families since there’s plenty of room to spread out and views of the sunrise from lanai were a great way to start the morning. Beds were not great but ok. Very quiet and peaceful area but really close to market and restaurants. Lava lava beach club is a must and the staff there are very friendly.

My stay at this home

Our stay at this home was good. There is plenty of room for a big family. They are quickly responsive to your needs if you need something.The kitchen has plenty of counter space. In the downstairs closet you will find beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, umbrellas and even a cooler. Which is great! We used it all and even left an extra chair for the next guest. There is plenty of both beach towels and towels for the home. The one thing I was disappointed in was in the beds. The bed in the master bedroom should be upgraded. It creek’s every move you make and I could feel the springs. The worse was the the sofa coach it was lifted at the feet and the middle sunk in. My boys would wake up complaining of the discomfort. I feel like most guest will spend half their time in bed it should be comfortable so they can wake up refreshed. I definitely recommend the owner replace the beds. Also, you couldn’t watch tv in the day since the curtains are light and all you see is the glare. I recommend black out curtains. This Airbnb is located in a great location. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Their is a beautiful beach down the street. They do provide you with shampoo/conditioner and detergent. I had brought our own. If it wasn’t for the beds I’d give it 5 starts.

Needs Attention to the Details

When you entered the property there was a musty smell on the downstairs level. We discovered that all the beach towels in the downstairs bathroom where folded and put on the shelf when they were still wet. We had to wash them again to get of the smell before we could use them. --The safe in the Master bedroom did not work. --There was only 1 extra trash bag for our use. This made it difficult to remove all trash from the property as stated in the house rules. --It would of been nice to have a box of Kleenex in the bathrooms. There was none on the property. --The home appeared clean unless you looked closely. It seemed as if the cleaning crew only touched the surface. Why would you fold wet towels and put them on the shelf? The dishwasher was full of dishes from the last guest. Someone needs to check that there are enough supplies on hand.

We have stayed in the complex before and absolutely love it. D1 was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We had a hiccup with trying to get into the lock box (were given a wrong code) to enter the unit. The staff at Vacasa and the local Vacasa representative were very responsive and did everything they could to assist. The local rep (sorry I forgot her name) was a doll and went above and beyond for us. She deserves a raise! The location is perfect and walking distance to the market and shopping center. 100% recommend.

Perfect family vacation

We stayed here with my family and brothers family. Four adults, four kids (ages 3,4,6,7). We loved it! There were lots of toys for the beach, floaties, beach chairs, towels, games, and more. The condo was clean, spacious, and had everything you need for basic cooking. The blinds do let in a lot of light, so if you are looking for a dark room at kids bedtime, the rooms are not that. The community pool was nice, a bit small, but fine and not too deep. The condo was close to all necessities whether walking or driving. A-Bay is a great place to watch the sunset!! The area in general is fairly spendy, so expect to drive a bit if you are looking for more "budget friendly" restaurants/ groceries. We would absolutely stay here again!
