Inside the heart of black forest mountains, Unterkirnach is a small but wealthy,clean,peaceful and “postcard-view” town.
This house is located in the outskirt of the Unterkirnach town center and walking distance to step into the mountains and forests. Outside the house is pure nature and inside the house is modern decoration.

PS: House owner lives in another town close by, the entire home will be handed to you while you check in. You can call the owner if some emergency help/support is needed.

Both self check in and host showing up are available.

Disappointing

We were unable to stay at this property for several reasons: 1. Parking - there was parking for only one small car at the property, we were traveling in two cars. 2. Outside stairs - there are two flights of steep, stone steps up to the property with NO handrail. Access was therefore too dangerous especially for my elderly, but active mother. (If there had been a handrail we may have been able to use the property, as it was close to a supermarket and had great views) 3. Despite being expected the fridge was not turned on and as it takes up to four hours for a refrigerator to function properly food safety could have compromised if we had stayed. Fortunately we were able to find suitable, comfortable, welcoming accommodation in the Black Forest, but our holiday costs were doubled though no fault of our own.

Schöner Kurzaufenthalt

Wir waren mit drei Erwachsenen und drei Kindern (4,5 und 6) für eine Nacht in diesem Ferienhaus. Für uns waren Lage und Räumlichkeiten optimal, da es drei Schlafzimmer gibt. Es gibt in der näheren Umgebung alles was man braucht und schöne Freizeitaktivitäten für Kinder. Alles war sauber und die Kommunikation mit Emily super! Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle nochmal!

Kurzurlaub im Schwarzwald

Das Haus ist zwar schon ein wenig in den Jahren und könnte sicherlich hier und da ein wenig Farbe verkraften, aber im Inneren ist es hell und freundlich in Schuss. Mit vielen Details ausgestattet (Sauna, Fitnessraum, drei Bädern, Ofen, viel Beleuchtung und ausreichend internetfähigen Fernsehern) bietet es sehr zweckmäßig alles was man zum Wohlfühlen benötigt. Den Rest erledigt die nette und freundliche Vermieterin mit bezogenen Betten und Handtüchern, so dass einem sofortigen Urlaubsstart nach der Ankunft nichts im Wege steht. Auch die Sauberkeit war hervorragend. Das Haus ist wenige Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum und dem örtlichen kleinen aber gut sortierten Supermarkt entfernt, so dass man für den kleinen Einkauf oder zum Brötchenholen nicht immer das Auto braucht, das übrigens in einer eingenen Garage stehen darf. Schöner Urlaub! Würden gerne wiederkommen.

Schön und ruhig gelegen

Wir (6 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder), haben uns im Haus von Emily sehr wohl gefühlt und den Aufenthalt genossen. Das Haus ist zwar von außen nicht gerade einladend, dafür ist es innen modern und sehr nett eingerichtet. Ärgerlich war jedoch die Tatsache, dass es nur 3 Schlafzimmer gibt, davon ist aber ein Zimmer auch nur ein Kinderzimmer mit einem Klappbett und einer auf Wunsch beigelegten Matratze für eine zweite Person. Die Ausziehcouch im Wohnzimmer (für 2 Personen) ist dabei genauso wenig ein Schlafzimmer wie der kleine Raum neben dem Wohnzimmer für 1 Person ohne Türe und nur mit einem Regal als Raumteiler. Hier müssen dann Personen schlafen, die immer als Letzte ins Bett gehen. Somit ist das Haus nicht für 10 Personen, schon gar nicht für 10 Erwachsene, geeignet. Auch der Esstisch ist nur für 6 Personen geeignet, wir konnten aber vom Zimmer im 1.Stock einen Tisch beistellen, um gemeinsam zu Frühstücken und zu Essen. Weiterhin muss im Online-Inserat darauf hingewiesen werden, dass es nur 1 Parkmöglickeit für 1 Auto in der Garage gibt und der Aufgang zum Haus über einige steile Treppen führt. Das ein- und auschecken lief problemlos, Emily ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Schwarzwaldgaudi mit Hund

Wir (5 Erwachsene, 2 Hunde) hatten eine schöne Silvesterwoche im wunderschönen Schwarzwald in Emily‘s Doppelhaushälfte. Ruhig gelegen am Ortsrand in leichter Hanglage an einer wenig befahrenen Straße. Das Wohn-Ess-Zimmer mit kleinem Arbeitsbereich hinter einem Raumteiler sind gemütlich und schlicht, Platz genug für 4-6 Personen (wenngleich ohne die erwähnten Brettspiele und Bücher, nur Kinder- und Jugendbücher). Die Bäder sind modern und relativ neu, wenn auch eins davon im Keller mit Waschküche und Sauna kombiniert und nicht abschließbar. Die Sauna ist klein aber voll ok, Platz genug zum Sitzen für 1-3 Personen, 60-90 Grad. Die Küche ist alt, aber alles da, was man braucht. Der Fitnessraum ist zweckmäßig in Keller-Charme, Laufband funktioniert, Stepper ok aber Batterie leer, keine Gewichte, Matten alt. Terrasse/Patio liegen vor der Haustür, kein anderer Zugang möglich. Eine ausgediente, wenngleich gemütliche Couch dient unterm Patio als Loungemöbel, eine hübsche Holzliege auf der Terrasse ist defekt aber noch machbar. Der Garten hat zwei Ebenen und ist wie auch die Außenfassade des Hauses leider in einem traurigen, lieblosen und ungepflegten Zustand. Was uns aber wirklich geärgert hat, war die mit 5 angegebene Anzahl der Schlafzimmer. Fakt ist: es gibt nur 2 Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett (in einem davon eine zusätzliche Schlafcouch) und ein kleines Jugendzimmer mit Einzelbett. Wir waren 1 Paar und 3 Einzelpersonen, somit hat 1 Person im offenen Wohnzimmer seinen Schlafplatz genommen. Zudem war die erwähnte Handseife, WC-Papier, Spüli, Küchenrolle, 1 einziges Geschirrtuch und je 1 Set Hand-/Badetuch für eine Woche und 5 Erwachsene zu wenig. Insgesamt war es wirklich gemütlich, aber vieles überhol- und pflegebedürftig und nur oberflächlich sauber. Und leider, leider kein Schnee,- dafür kann aber keiner was!
