This newly renovated, unique 4-bedroom home is nestled in the hills of Western Holmes County on a peaceful 16 acre property. It is situated midway between Holmes County’s Amish Country and the Mohican Recreation area. This home offers a spacious open living area with a comfortable leather sectional and Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a loaded coffee bar. In the dining room, you’ll enjoy a beautiful farmhouse table which seats up to 8 guests, along with a small breakfast table for two! There is a large updated full bath and laundry facility for your convenience.
Bedroom #1 is a quaint little room on the main level with a full bed. Upstairs, Bedroom #2 has a twin and a full bed that would be perfect for the kiddos. Bedroom #3 is a beautiful cozy room with a queen bed. Bedroom #4 is the spacious luxurious master with a queen bed, leather chair, ottoman, and Smart TV.
This property offers beautiful country views, which often include glimpses of deer, wild turkey, fox, and of course breathtaking sunsets that can be enjoyed from the covered front porch.Or enjoy the beautiful lighted, spacious,private campfire pit area & picnic table.Plenty of fire wood provided!

Peaceful country stay

Nice, clean, cost efficient place to stay especially compared to having to stay in a hotel in town. We travelled to Killbuck to visit a family farm nearby. This is a converted barn on a main home property. The owners had attentive communication. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, with helpful signs posted and amenities considered for guests. You can tell that the owners care about this rental being a good experience. We would happily stay here again.

Clean, Cozy Home on Quiet Land.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful—immaculately clean, cozy, and clearly well cared for. The surrounding land was peaceful and secluded, which made for a truly relaxing getaway. It was just what we needed.The only thing we hadn’t expected was how close the owners' home was to the rental; they’re right next door. That said, they were very friendly and respectful of our space, only using the barn's driveway a couple of times during our stay.It was also a little tricky to find the road at first—GPS makes it look like you’re turning into someone’s private driveway, when it’s actually more of a main access road. Just something to be aware of when you arrive.Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, restful place to unwind. Kid friendly!!!

Perfect Getaway!

Close to attractions and still have the beautiful-quiet country get away! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay, it was like our home away from home- except this was perfect! Owners made everything so convenient and welcoming...hope to return again soon!!

Beautiful property

This place is a hidden gem! Coming from a small town, but can hear road noise on a daily basis it was SO nice to relax on the front patio area in silence! Everything was neat and tidy. My kids loved the board games, and it was nice to let my 5 year old run around the yard. I would recommend this place 100x over!

The Barn is beautiful and has everything you would need and even things you might forget! Owners are close and will do whatever they can to make your stay wonderful. You will not regret staying here! We just got back and already booked for next year!

What a wonderful, secluded cozy place to stay. The owners were amazing! We were out in the country but close enough for amenities. So clean, and all the little notes around the place were adorable, and left no room for questions. We love it, and hope to get back there soon!

Our 12th year in Amish Country

This was our second time staying at "The Barn". We absolutely loved it. It's so peaceful and quiet. The Barn is very clean and well taken care of. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and watching the sun set while the kids ran around the yard. And if you're lucky, you might even see a baby deer running around! The owners are wonderful and so kind! Thank you for having us again and we will definitely be back.

Girls Getaway

Wow....this place stands up to all 5 star reviews it has recieved. My 3 girlfriends and I thouroughly enjoyed our week-end stay. The place was exceptionately clean and well kept. All the "extras" were appreciated. It was so quiet there. We enjoyed the firepit and the sounds of night critters. It was a true recharging of our souls and hope to come back again.

Beautiful house and area!

We rented The Barn for a girls weekend getaway and absolutely loved it. There was plenty of space in the house and on the porch to just relax and talk. We all appreciated the extra touches throughout the house like fans in all the bedrooms, the coffee bar, and the cozy blankets. We loved the fire pit area. It was the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and s’mores! The location is also excellent. It was peaceful and quiet (we enjoyed watching the dear play in the field on Saturday morning), but it was only about a 25 min drive to Berlin for shopping and wandering. We had a great time and would definitely rent here again.

Nice and Secluded!

The barn is beautifully decorated, organized, clean, and stocked! It was so nice to be so secluded, we literally did not hear one noise the entire stay! The hosts have an amazing fire pit set up and we were so bummed that is snowed during our stay and we could not use it! The hosts were very, very sweet and since their home is next to the barn, they were easily accessible and were super informative!!! They were so kind to even meet up with me when I left something behind! Great experience :-)

Epic Adventures Girls Trip

We booked this home for a girls hiking/biking trip for 4 days and 3 nights. We were impressed with the extra thoughtful amenities (coffee, tea, snacks, and a well stocked kitchen for our meal prep, and toiletries you may have forgotten.) No mysteries about light switches, how to operate things, etc. Labels and information are visibly posted everywhere. Beds were awesome and comfortable. Beautiful big dining table for meals and game night. This home has a beautiful peaceful setting and everything we needed. We loved our stay!

Amazing and beautiful getaway!

From the time we booked our stay, to the day we checked out, everything was great! Staying at the "Barn at Sunset Lane" was exactly what our family and friends were looking for! The barn was extremely clean and had everything already there and ready to go! The rooms were clean and had a great set-up for all of us who stayed! The games were a great extra for the kids to play, since the weather outside was so cold! It had a great "home" feel and we cannot wait to go back! Great price! Great location! Great people to work with and a Great stay for a small getaway with your family and friends! Cannot thank Casey enough! Highly recommend the "Barn at Sunset Lane" to anyone head over that way!

5 stars all day long!

This place and it’s owners were amazing! So much that I already booked the “barn” for next year the day we departed. The owner knew we were coming in with large trucks and trailers and cleared an area for us to turn our trucks around and park in the field and provided helpful tips when pulling in to avoid any problems. The inside of the “barn” was fantastic. I have been to my share of rentals and this is now the gold standard for my expectations. All of the little things made us feel like we were coming home versus a rental were there. From small toiletries in case your forgot yours when packing, the coffee bar, to the cute background stories of the barn throughout the house and just the overall decor. After our trip on the trails at the end of the day we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunsets. My 7yr old did not want to leave! Great job to the owners and we look forward to our stay in 2024!!

A nice getaway

I was looking to do a nice getaway before the craziness of the holiday season. The listing looked great and the pictures looked excellent. I loved the idea of staying at a converted barn. The last 30 minutes of the drive were narrow rustic roads. It was a great sign for what I was looking for - secluded, but also somewhat close to grocery shopping. The signage for the house was the best I've ever seen (kudos to the owners). Pros: - Instructions to get into the house were very straight=forward. - Upon entering, the main floor was very clean. It was a cold day upon arrival, so the heat from the stove in the living room felt great. - The kitchen had just about anything you could ask for. - As others have said, these owners thought about just about everything to equip the house for a stay. - Being in the 20s for most of the trip, couldn't use the outside, but there was a nice little firepit area by the house with lights. - Not usually a fan of leather couches, but this one was one of the best I've ever used. Cons: - As much as the main floor felt clean, The bed in the master bedroom had a few issues. It looked as though folks had slept in the bed as the bed had leaves in it. There was also a hole (burn mark?) in the mattress sheet. - If you're coming in winter, be sure to bring a humidifier or two. The house got quite dry and wreaked a bit of havoc on the sinuses. - Not the fault of the owners, but the power went out on three separate occasions - usually for a few hours each time. To the credit of the owner, he brought over a generator until the power went back on so we could have some lights and the fridge could stay cool. - Probably the biggest con for me was the internet. I know its a rustic environment, but I would have loved to see words like "limited internet" in the listing. The house has smart TVs, so a VRBO browser would immediately expect that the internet would be adequate enough to run the TVs. Instead it is a VERY LIMITED use internet via verizon hotspot. Luckily I had a personal hotspot plan I used, but would have like the transparency prior to booking, not upon arrival. Overall: Despite the few cons, I did enjoy the stay. You couldn't find a nicer owner in Casey. He did all that he could when the power went out. I would recommend staying here if you plan on going on several excursions (the owner has lots of pamphlets and info for that). Thank you for sharing your rental with the VRBO community.
