Shuffleboard, Hiking, and Huge Master Bedroom
We enjoyed staying at this cabin. The master bedroom is HUGE. Just 10 minutes away, we were hiking in the mountains. And there was a shuffleboard table in the living room. We played on that for hours. Lots of fun! The host communicated with us ensuring our stay was up to par. We will stay here again!

Family reunion
We stayed at this lovely cabin while visiting family in Strawberry. The cabin was nicer than described, very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The location was very quiet and we enjoyed seeing elk in the evenings from the screened-in front patio. The owner was very nice and responsive. We will definitely stay here again for future family get togethers.

Can't wait to go back!
I cannot recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The beds, often a shortcoming in rental properties, were exceptional. We were lucky to get snow on Friday morning and we spent the entire day outside. Coming back to a hot shower, fresh cup of coffee, and a fire in the stone fireplace was a real treat. The hosts, Guy and Marge were incredibly friendly and responsive. They replied to all of my texts within minutes and when I realized that I'd left an item behind after check-out, they immediately reauthorized our access code so I could run in and retrieve it before our drive back to Phoenix. I can't wait to book another stay.

About the host

Hi we're Guy and Marge, we're originally from the East Coast and have been living in Arizona for 25 years. We've been coming up to the Strawberry/Pine area for 20 years and can't get enough of it. We decided to purchase this property and make it a STR so others can come up and enjoy everything that the "High Country" has to offer. We hope we get the chance to host you on a relaxing, refreshing stay in Strawberry.

Why they chose this property

Welcome to your lodge getaway! Our lodge sleeps up to 6 guests in a comfortable, well-designed, 1530 sq ft of functional space. Upon your arrival to the lodge, you'll notice two driveways large enough for free parking of multiple vehicles/trailer as well as a completely fenced well shaded front yard space. You’ll also notice the covered screened deck that is great for relaxing while listening to and watching all that the National Forrest has to offer. With room for 6 guests spread throughout the home, it's the perfect spot for families, friend groups, or retreats. The large main bedroom features a beautiful king-size bed, a private ensuite bath and private access to the breezeway deck. You can expect to find plenty of comfortable towels, toiletries, and a beautiful, well-designed and clean space. The main parts of the lodge include a living room, dining area, and large kitchen. The main bedroom and living room both feature flat screen TVs (Fire sticks provide apps for paid streaming media you belong to), beautiful decor, and a sofa in the living room that turns into a bed when it's time to turn in for the night. The second bedroom is located right across the hallway from the second bathroom with a very unique jetted tub and shower setup. The living room also includes a beautiful cozy wood burning (wood provided) fireplace to gather around. In the kitchen, you'll find a well-appointed space with expansive counter space. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to prepare a gourmet meal while enjoying your mountain getaway. Private laundry closet is just off the kitchen, too! Head through the French doors to the breezeway deck leading to the expansive back yard patio, where you'll have up close views of any elk that come to visit (a common sight!). There is a propane fire table, propane grill and several yard games for your enjoyment in the backyard, too! Enjoy your stay!

What makes this property unique

During the summer, when the sun goes down behind the mountains. Opening the screened windows (not the doors please, we don’t want wild animals ending up staying with you) and using the ceiling and floor fans, is usually enough to keep the lodge nice and cool.

Note to families: Other than plastic plugins in the outlets at toddler heights, there is no baby/toddler/child-proofing in the house, so please proceed with caution if you elect to bring the little ones.

Strawberry is in the Tonto National Forrest area, and fire is a very real hazard in the dry months.
Please leave ash from the fireplace in metal bucket (supplied by us) so that we may dispose of it safely. Also: Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the lodge. Smoking outside is only permitted if there are no county or Forrest service mandated fire restrictions. Even if there are no restrictions in place, we ask that you smoke on the patio or grave driveway and always use ashtrays. PLEASE make sure ALL the ashes are out. Thank you for protecting our home and our neighborhood.

We do not live in the lodge, so when you arrive you should find the lodge clean and ready for your arrival.

If you would like more information before you book, please don't hesitate to message us. We look forward to hosting you!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house minus 2 closets, a detached shed, a carport shed, all locked and unoccupied.
Please be sure to read through the orange welcome binder upon check-in. It has the Wifi password and will help you make the most of your stay, as well as remind you of a few requests we make to keep you and our home in good shape.
Sometime during your stay please take a minute to sign our guest book located on the buffet table with the welcome binder.

(2+ NIGHTS REQUIRED - special approved 1-night stays will allow you to book)

Last but most important, if you have your heart set on escaping to Antelope lodge, we recommend booking sooner rather than later. .
