On an idyllic 20 acres near Waitts Lake, this welcoming hand-built 750 sf cabin boasts panoramic views of the valley and mountains. Sit on your front porch in the mornings and watch the deer and turkeys, or enjoy the log gazebo with your friends and family. Play horseshoes or games on the front lawn. Take a hike. Or take a jaunt to the lake for fun on the water. 30 min drive to 49 Degrees ski resort. EV charging available w/donation.
The cabin is built with lumber mostly milled from trees on the property, with lots of wood inside and wide plank floors. The main floor has a full kitchen and an adjacent dining table for 4. The living area has a love seat and chair, and a cabinet with TV. The lofted upstairs bedroom has one full bed and two twin beds, a dresser and two closets. It has a heat pump for heating and cooling. In cooler seasons, a cozy wood stove will keep you warm. The kitchen is well stocked with place settings for 6+, pots and pans, coffee maker, teapot, toaster, blender, griddle, waffle iron, and microwave. There is an electric range, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. I also have a portable crib and high chair available upon request. Outside, there are plenty of Adirondack chairs to use, a gas grill, and a picnic table in the gazebo. A firepit is available in cooler seasons and can be placed inside the gazebo.
G-maps will take you to the wrong location, so I suggest you use my directions
Winter: It snows here in the winter, so while I do plow the road, I strongly recommend an AWD vehicle. Also the path from the parking area to the cabin will likely be covered with snow and ice. Be careful. Bring your cross country ski and snowshoes!
Pets: Please do not leave pets in the cabin unattended. Keep pets off the furniture, and please pick up after your pet. I want to continue to keep the cabin available to pet owners, so anything you can do to keep the cabin clean and nice for the next guests are appreciated.
Please do not park on the grass
For EV charging: 30A 110v RV-style or 15A outlets are available for EV charging ($2.50 /100 mile charge donation accepted)
No hunting or discharging of firearms on the property.
