Sunset Loft on Deer Lake has something to offer year-round. Just steps to beautiful, clear, Deer Lake and our private beach and dock. Only 25 minutes by car to 49 North Open ALL WINTER - Mountain Resort with hiking, hunting, cycling, snowshoeing, bird watching, and mountain biking in between.
Your private apartment is directly facing Deer Lake Marsh with expansive Lake views from the balcony. Enjoy a romantic escape in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Our Loft can sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably.
The Loft offers a full kitchen (including a 1 day basic breakfast kit), wood burning fire heater, one bathroom with a custom stone tile shower, vaulted living room with a new La-Z-Boy Queen sofa sleeper couch and TV, and separate office space. We also have available an inflatable electric over sized twin mattress and 2 twin folding mattresses available upon request. Balcony overlooks large marsh/bird sanctuary and partial lake views with wonderful sunsets. Back porch/deck has extra firewood and a BBQ grill.
**Requires climbing 18 stairs**. May not be for everyone but the views are worth it!
We invite you to share our beach/dock with us. Just a short walk to the cool refreshing clear lake.
Shared fenced area between the loft and our house for your pet to play off leash.
We live in the main house next door with our mini Australian Shepherd. We can socialize as much or as little as you'd like. There is almost always one of us available to answer questions.
Sunset Loft is walking distance to Deer Lake RV Resort and their Camper store. Public boat launch is one mile away. RV Resort amenities are available for a small daily fee.

Other things to note
PET FEE: $35 per dog/per stay.

Up to $300 of the security deposit will be charged in the event you, your guests, or pet cause damage to the Loft or any part of the property including the beach and dock area.

Most Amazing!

We traveled from Hawaii to visit family in Washington. This place is right on Deer Lake, with views of the lake right from your living room deck! We chose this place intentionally because it was walking distance to my brothers home! Hosts are gracious, informative and kind. Loved our time there! Mahalo, Callie & Jon

Spectacular!

What a wonderful place to enjoy time with family! Accommodations were perfect. We stayed here with 2 teenage grandchildren who we brought from England for a summer holiday. Gwen and Randy have created a perfect getaway place . They have gone above and beyond to supply everything needed to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. They were so flexible in allowing us to include our daughter and her family to join us for evenings as they had time. Our grandchildren enjoyed throwing toys for Sydney on the lawn, and down in the lake. Fishing off the dock was a popular pastime. All of us enjoyed the deck overlooking the marsh. We saw deer, turkeys, ducks, and incredible sunsets. Thank You Gwen and Randy!!

Amazing cabin weekend!

Gwen was so responsive and communicative, she even set out the kayaks for us to use! She was so understanding with our little puppy and the home was easy to navigate, up to date, and had everything we needed!

Randy grew up in the Chicago suburbs and served in the US Air Force. He has lived in Charleston SC, Miami FL, Cookstown NJ, Portland OR, Oceanside CA and now on Deer Lake in WA.
Gwen grew up in Calgary, Alberta and Thompson Fall, MT. She has lived in Missoula MT, Portland OR, Oceanside CA before calling Deer Lake home last year.

Why they chose this property

We have both always wanted to live on the water and be surrounded by mountains and this location was the perfect choice. Far enough but not too far from urban areas. We love to enjoy all 4 seasons with our miniature Australian Shepard, Sydney.

What makes this property unique

Peace and quiet! Especially during the Winter months. We cycle on road bicycles, go on long walks with our dog, and kayak routinely during the Summer months.
