Derrynane Haven is an Irish Cottage offering stunning views across Derrynane Bay. Take a deep breath of the fresh the Atlantic air and smell the sea weed. Or just sit in front of the cosy woodburning stove and wind down from all hustle and bustle. The place is truly a haven to relax.
The Cottage is situated on a quiet country lane in Bunavalla/Derrynane – about three kilometers off the well-known Ring of Kerry between Waterville and Caherdaniel. This part of the world is certainly one of the most picturesques areas in Ireland with green fields, rugged mountains and the wild Atlantic Coast. It also belongs to the internationally recognised Kerry Dark Sky Reserve – no light polution but millions of stars in clear nights with many astronomical sights to be seen with the naked eye. The proximate vicinity offers ample oppertunities for hiking, cycling, fishing, golfing and several water sports activities at the nearby Derrynane Beach.

Ireland getaway

Absolutely beautiful location with amazing views of the coast. Cottage was comfortable and very clean. The washer and dryer were both an added feature. Very private. Great communication with care takers. The fireplace was great to use on a rainy chilly evening.

Gemütliches, gut ausgestattetes Haus in wunderbarer Lage

Wir haben den einwöchigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt mit wunderbarem Blick auf das Wasser sehr ruhig und hier kann man wirklich die Seele baumeln lassen. Selbst einen Regentag haben wir beim Lesen und tollem Ausblick vom Sofa aus genießen können. Entsprechend der Beschreibung haben wir ausstattungsmäßig rein gar nichts vermisst. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld, sowie vor Ort mit der Vermieterin direkt war sehr zuvorkommend freundlich. Zu empfehlen ist eine kurze Wanderung vom Haus zum Derryname Beach + Abbey (Entfernung ca. 45 Min). Ein herrlicher Strand...auch zum Baden! Wir können das Haus nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen! Vielen Dank für die wirklich schöne Woche

Cottage in Traumlage

Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld hat super funktioniert. Das Cottage ist traumhaft gelegen. Vom Bett aus schaut man auf den Atlantik. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Schöne Aussicht 😊

Das Haus hat eine fantastische ruhige fast Alleinlage und eine traumhafte Aussicht. Die Bilder stimmen nicht mehr, denn das Bad wurde modernisiert und auch die Möbel im Wohnzimmer. Somit ist es ein modernes Haus und es war sehr sauber und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Schönes Haus mit Wundervollem Ausblick

Knapp 3 km Fahrt vom Ring of Kerry enfernt aber dennoch nicht im Touristen Zentrum, liegt dieses tolle Haus. Es liegt am wahrscheinlich schönsten Teil des Kerry way. Der eine Wanderung zum Strand in Derrynane nicht nur des Zieles wegen wertvoll macht. Die Schlafzimmer sind klein aber ausreichend groß und sehr gemütlich. Die Küche ist git ausgestattet (sogar mit einem brauchbaren Messer). der Blick aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster ist alleine die Reise wert. Einzig ein Sonnenschirm auf der Terrasse wäre schön wenn die Sonne scheint besteht durch den Wind Sonnenbrandgefahr weil man zu spät merkt, dass es auf der Haut brennt. Alles in allem eine Reise Wert

Traumhafter Meeresblick

14 Tage in diesem Haus war einfach zu wenig Zeit, um die traumhafte Lage dieses Hauses zu genießen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unsere Wünsche nach einem Fahrrad oder Liegestühlen wurden umgehend erfüllt. Dieses Haus kann ich nur bestens empfehlen!!!

Wunderschöner Urlaub!

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht: eine liebevolle Einrichtung mit passender Dekoration, bequeme Betten für ruhige Nächte, eine gut ausgestattete Küche und sogar ein Grill für den Garten, gemütliche Stunden vorm Kamin, dazu ein Buch aus dem deutsch- und englischsprachig ausgestatteten Bücherregal und ein Garten, der zum Entspannen und Genießen der Aussicht einlädt. Dankbar sind wir auch für die Ausflugstipps, die wir im Vorfeld mit den Reiseunterlagen erhalten haben, und für die Hinweise des Vermieters vor Ort, der uns auf den schönen Badestrand in der Nähe und die leckerste Pizza im Umkreis aufmerksam gemacht hat. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben...

Wundervoller und friedlicher Ort

Das recht kleine Haus ist wunderschön und extrem ruhig gelegen. Aus jedem Fenster hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf das Meer. Die Ausstattung bietet alles was man im Urlaub benötigt. Allerdings ist die Küche recht klein und eher spärlich ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist ideal zum Wandern, da es sehr viele offizielle Wanderwege gibt.

Tolle Lage nahe Derrynane Beach

Das Ferienhaus liegt, ideal - auch für Strandfreunde ca. 30 Gehminuten (Kerry Way: Mass Path) vom "Karibikstrand" Derrynane Beach entfernt. Lage ist sehr ruhig, mit super Meerblick und einer kleinen Terrasse. Anleger für Touren nach Skellig Michael (unser Highlight) nur 600m entfernt. Ausstattung ist "Standard" - Nichts was fehlt, aber auch nichts Besonderes. Ein kleines Plus: Deutsche TV-Programme und ein kleiner Grill. Kleines Minus: Das Doppelbett ist schmal (1,4m) und Druck in der Dusche eher schwach. Wie immer (bereits unsere 5. Buchung) hervorragend: Abwicklung, Kontakt und Service von Vermittlerin Frau H.

Zurücklehnen und Irland geniessen...

Wir durften 2 Wochen in diesem mit liebe eingerichteten Haus an einer traumhaften Lage geniessen. Auf diese Art und Weise seine Ferien verbringen zu dürfen und Irland kennen zu lernen ist nur ein Geschenk, und dafür sind wir Gott sehr dankbar... In Dublin am Flughafen steht eine Säule mit der Aufschrift "God is Love". Und das bewahrheitet sich an solchen Orten. Wir sind Gott dankbar, dass solche Häuser auch für uns Touristen zugänglich sind. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet. Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Geschirrspüler, Abwaschmaschine, Tumber, TV, Video, Radio, Haarföhnt, Kühlschrank, Tiefkühler, Duschtücher, Abwaschtücher, Bettwäsche und, und,und..... Es ist so eingerichtet, dass man sich problemlos für mehrere Tage einquartieren kann ohne das Haus verlassen zu müssen. Wir können und wollen es wirklich nur empfehlen. Wer ein paar Tage der Erholung, der Ruhe und des Friedens sucht ist da bestens aufgehoben... Wir sind einfach nur dankbar.

Oase der Ruhe

Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man im Urlaub so braucht. Sehr praktisch hab ich die "mitteleuropäische" Mehrfachsteckdose im Wohnzimmer gefunden. Da kann man getrost die eigenen Adapter daheim lassen. Das WLAN hat wunderbar funktioniert. Auch den Geschirrspüler hab ich sehr zu schätzen gewußt. Er vermittelt einem doch ein "Mehr" an Sauberkeit. Wir waren schon im März in Caherdaniel, was den großen Vorteil hatte, dass wirklich noch sehr wenig Touristen unterwegs waren. Irland ist dann zwar noch nicht ganz so grün wie im Prospekt, aber dafür staufrei.

Im Bett liegen und auf's Meer schauen

Das Häuschen bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt. Das Allerbeste ist die tolle Lage mit dem fantastischen Blick über die Bucht. Aber auch sonst hat es uns an nichts gefehlt: Gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Ofen und Fernseher (auch deutsche Programme), Küche mit Kaffeemaschine, Spülmaschine, Backofen .... Die Betten waren sehr bequem und man kann von da aus auf das Meer schauen - sehr romantisch, vor allem bei Sonnenaufgang! Auch der Sitzplatz draußen ist klasse. Sehr angenehm ist auch, dass es freies WLAN gibt und dass man eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner nutzen kann. Lediglich die Dusche könnte verbessert werden: Sie hatte kaum Wasserdruck und war fest in der Wand installiert. Aber das ist wohl Jammern auf hohem Niveau .... Denn wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Tolle Aussicht

Ein hübsches kleines Ferienhaus mit toller Aussicht, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Neuerdings auch mit Internetanschluss, was unseren Sohn außerordentlich gefreut hat, nur abends zwischen 18 und 22 Uhr wird es sehr langsam. Erwähnenswert ist die Sitzmöglichkeit auf der Miniterrasse, denn das ist in Irland eher außergewöhnlich. Ansonsten waren wir rundum zufrieden, es hat nichts gefehlt, was man für einen einwöchigen Urlaub braucht. Ein Tipp: Wer nach Skellig Michael will, sollte unbedingt auf Wochen im Voraus buchen.
