This is a historical housethat was adorable and quaint. It has comfortable accommodations. The location was great. Mo's is just a block down the street with easy access to the beach. There is plenty of parking.
We enjoyed our stay at the Taft Cottage. The location is excellent! Everything is really well labeled and it was super helpful! Very cute and fun nautical theme throughout the home. There are several extras for various needs for both adults and kids: pack n play, booster seat, shoe dryer, iron/board, and more. There was laundry detergent packets, and travel size toiletries. The kitchen is small, but well stocked! Tons of herbs/spices, and cooking oil. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
This house was cute and cozy. We would definitely stay here again. We had no issues and did not have to contact them for anything. The only thing that I wish was there was some type of counter cleaner (not a big deal but I do like to clean the counter with more than water) I did not contact them regarding this as I could just go out and purchase a bottle at the dollar tree.
Hot tub not working (that’s why i booked the property)
To use the hot tub its a heating issue only went to 84 degrees after 4 days on started at 70 degrees. Heating element needs replace. House is tight to move around upstairs carpet smelled of dog urine.
This seaside cottage was perfect and reminded me of beach houses in New England when I was a kid. Casual, efficient, relaxed and comfy. But a big difference is a hot tub and fire pit in the private, fully fenced back yard (which our dog loved too). Beds were good, plenty of extra towels and supplies (tp, soap, etc., cookware, etc. Really appreciate that EVERYTHING was in good working order.
Location is prime! Lovely view off the upper deck, walking distance to shops, IGA market, restaurants, and most importantly, awesome beach!! The bay is calm and full of fishing, crabs, pelicans, and seals. Did see bicycles in the pictures but there were none on the property.
Favorite Activity: 4 mile kayak rental thru wildlife refuge at Siletz Crabbing, Fishing, Kayak Rentals.
Favorite Restaurant: Hearth and Table Pizza
Favorite Hike: the beach and The Knoll Loop (3 miles but hills).
Thanks for everything!
We loved the place! The bathroom door downstairs would not close, so that was kind of funny. The TV was challenging to operate. We’re not sure but it seemed like the Firestick stopped working. We liked how you took such care to supply things families need like beach chairs and fire wood... It was very welcoming. The living room barrel chairs are really uncomfortable and could be replaced. We loved the game shed too. It would be good if you could put the bike lock codes for the Raleigh bikes in the info notebook.
Overall we really enjoyed the quant, nautical home, and we can’t wait to come again and stay longer next time. I hope this review was helpful. Thanks!

Reviewer Comments:
This house is not well maintained. Very out of date and not very clean. Sheets were not clean in at least 1 bedroom and there was such a foul odor coming from the ice maker/ice/refrigerator. We planned to cook during our stay but the lack of overall cleanliness and smells prevented that.We only stayed here because another property management company called ON OUR WAY to Lincoln City telling us our rental was no longer available for our stay. The person I spoke with during reservation process for this rental was very nice. But this house and the stay were very disappointing.

Reviewer Comments:
The carpet and floor looked like it wasn’t vacuumed or swept. The counters had not been wiped down. The blinds were torn. The jacuzzi was at 61 degrees. The reason we stayed there was because of the fenced yard. Part of the fence had fallen over. The host said the were unable to fix it. They did give us 10% off our stay. We tried to fix it the best we could to keep the dogs in. There was trash in the front yard. The fence and trash could have been because of earlier wind before we showed.

Reviewer Comments:
The home worked out well for us. It had everything we needed. It was close to the beach and the other towns we wanted to visit. We enjoyed the relaxing hot tub at the end of each day. We had hoped to use the kayaks but there were no paddles available. That would have been a bonus as we weren't expecting them anyway. The upstairs toilet was beginning to leak and needs some attention.
