A wonderful place to stay for a week exploring Boston! There is a train/bus station a quick walk away as well as wonderful restaurants and shops close by. Was a nice quiet neighborhood to stay in away from downtown Boston but just a quick walk or train ride away from everything.

Was such a pleasure hosting you Krista, here at the "Fort Hill Inn, Boston". Happy to hear you enjoyed. Looking Forward to your return visit in the very near future! Terry and Mindy
Overall great place to stay when visiting Boston because of location to Orange line if you plan to use public transportation to get around. Not the most comfortable place to stay, but if you plan on being out and about for most of the time this is a more than adequate spot to lay your head.
We had a great stay for three nights for 2 adults and 2 teenagers at the listing. It was easy to access the T (underground) from the house and was very comfortable. Exactly as described.
Great location, easy access to many universities, Lyft and Uber pickups were all within 3-5 minutes, super convenient. Beautiful with everything you could need.
Great place for a couple or small family. Easy access to the T and all Boston has to offer. Second time to stay here and we will be back. Thank you Terry for a great week.

We stayed there for almost a week and the place was really great for its price! The manager of the location was very accommodating and willing to help us with our stay. All amenities were provided to make it our home away from home! Would definitely use that location again!

Our first trip to Boston that was not work related. We loved our stay and used Uber to get everywhere, and just welcomed the quiet evenings after a day of tourist events. The apartment is cosy..has everything and allowed to cook breakfast and dinners.
Great place to stay - quaint neighborhood feel in the middle of a big city
Overall the condo was great - if you don't like going up and down stairs you can opt to stay in the living room, but we liked having our separate living and sleeping areas. It was nice and dark in the bottom bedroom area and left up stairs nice an clutter free. Location was great, while being a short uber to downtown we were close to cute local restaurants and bars we could easily walk to. I would definitely recommend this location and stay here again!

I highly recommend this beautiful, well-kept place. Stayed with my family (spouse and two kids) as we explore Boston for a couple days. It’s a quiet area and lots of restaurant options are nearby. Subway is a quick walk, and Uber/Lyft prices to downtown are quite reasonable too. We loved the historic charm of this place.

Happy to hear things worked out well for your husband and friend. Thank You for being amazing guests! We look forward to hosting you in the very near future. Sincerely, Terry and Mindy, Fort Hill Inn, Boston
We were visiting colleges in the area as well as my daughter at Northeastern. The location was perfect. Finding free street parking was easy at night. We left all of our belongings upstairs because the stairs to the downstairs were like climbing up and down a ladder. It is a charming older building. With that came drafty windows. We cooked and ate in a few times. Kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay there again. Very affordable for being so close to the city. Thanks for the stay!
Very clean comfortable unit , location is basically a 15-20 min drive to the waterfront district and about the same to Fenway , we found it was nice and quiet neighbourhood .. the only issue is the parking during the week days can be a bit of a chore , but if you’ve been to Boston that’s pretty much a city wide issue ..would recommend and would definitely stay again
This property was great for us. It was my husband and I and our 2 teenagers. It was exactly as described. Updated, but still had that Boston charm. We felt it was in a great locations. We had no problem finding street parking. We were there to tour colleges for my daughter, so it was convenient to BU & NU. We took Uber one day and drove the other day. Would stay here again.

The apartment is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail and easily sleeps four guests in two double beds. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. It is also well equipped with spices, (sharp) knives and other cooking utensils, as well as crockery and cutlery for four people. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The apartment is located in a quiet, well-kept residential area on the outskirts of Boston. The city centre is easily accessible by car or subway. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby (although you are not allowed to park in front of the building) and the subway station is only seven minutes away.
The landlord was available for any questions and always responded quickly and helpfully.

Thank You for staying with us Felix! It was such a pleasure hosting you and your family. Just a quick note for future guests, We are in The Fort Hill/Highland Park neighborhood of Boston. One of the many neighborhoods of the city. 1.5 miles to the center. Copley Square. Looking foward to your return visit in the very near future! Kindest, Terry and Mindy, Fort Hill Inn, Boston
The owner was responsive and even let us check in a little early. The apt was clean and looked nice, but was further from the city than we thought. The basement bedroom was difficult to access using the circular stairway and was very musty. This caused breathing issues for my husband with asthma. He ended up having to sleep upstairs on the uncomfortable pull out couch. Additionally, the shower leaked onto the floor each time we used it and the bathroom fan was always on.

Thank You Travis for taking the time to review! Very sorry that our vrbo fell short of your expectations. We are always looking to improve and guest feedback is key. A few notes we wanted to address for clarity to our future guests. We are in fact 100% in the city of Boston. 1.5 miles to the center, Copley square. Museums and other sites are walking distance, less than 1 mile and an amazing subway system to get you there. 4 minute ride once you get on the subway. Yes, we do have spiral stairs in the unit to the bedroom. We have a picture as well as put this in the description for guests. Sorry to read you missed this. The bedroom is on the garden level, with full sized windows, walk out, which is very common in cities like Boston where space is a premium. We have had some extreme weather and storms up the coast, which often increases moisture in the air. The air conditioner will dehumidify if needed. Our sleeper sofas are all equipped with highly rated, Air Dream mattress/aero coil systems. Once you open you inflate. You can then adjust to your individual comfort level. Bath fan is motion activated, so comes on when you open the door. Shuts off after 30 minutes. We have installed a new seal for the shower door, we appreciate you letting us know. We are available and happy to assist at any time during guests stays! Always reach out to your hosts if you need assistance. Thank You for staying
My husband, our baby boy and I visited Boston last week. The rental is exactly like the photos. The main level has the bathroom, kitchen, TV and a queen sofa bed. The basement of second level down, has a bed and a TV. We did not use the basement area because it was inconvenient with the baby go up and down in the middle of the night. The host provides shampoo, detergent, soap and toilet paper and paper towel, very nice and needed supplies for a late arrival. We found parking every night about 1 block away on Gardner St. However, it's a tow zone so the first and third Monday of each month needs fo be free for Street cleaning. Check that before leaving your car. Uber eats and Doordash work. We dis not explore the area that much but is a welcoming diverse neighborhood. The house has family games and offers streaming apps for the TV. The apt is about 10m away from Downtown Boston driving.

Home away from home!!! 2 bedroom /1 bathroom apartment.
Terry,
I would first like to say “Thank You So Much” for allowing my family, and I to stay at a wonderful place at short notice. The location is close to the Metro Roxbury Crossing station. This is a great apartment in the John Eliot Square area. Great location and easy access to North End, Waterfront, Freedom Trail, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Haymarket Square, and much more. The apartment was fantastic! My father-n-law still can’t believe how close we were to his apartment across from “The First Church of Roxbury”. My wife loved the place!!!! She still cannot stop talking about how the place made her feel at home, and we have been gone for a week. Having the bedrooms downstairs made it very easy to put the kids to sleep while we entertain family that stop by. The first floor private entrance to the apartment made it very easy to unload, and load luggage from the truck. Street parking was always available around the apartment. The full kitchen made it easy for us to cook breakfast in the morning while getting the kids dressed. The neighborhood feels safe and comfortable. Public transportation is very easy for those who don't want to hike so much. No car needed I would definitely recommend staying here to others and will be returning again. Owners were very professional and helpful by phone and email.
Thank you again Terry!!!!

WoW! Thank You so Much Shawn and Nadereca for staying with us and the wonderful review. So nice to hear our 2 bedroom apartment worked out so perfectly for your family. The goal has always been to provide a nice comfortable retreat after a day out in the city, so it Sounds like we scored. Have a Safe and Enjoyable Summer and please visit with us again! All the Best, Terry
This is a really charming little place and we enjoyed our stay, quite a bit. There were a couple of quirks that are probably good to be aware of also, but over all, excellent.
Pros:
- close to downtown
- Easy access to freeways, shops, dining, etc
- Furnishings are comfortable and charming
- Very comfortable mattress and bedding
- HD big screen TV with Netflix
- Well-appointed kitchen with full size fridge and plenty of room to cook.
- Quiet street and building, especially for its age.
Cons:
- No parking at the building itself. We parked a block away, which was inconvenient with inclement weather.
- Laundry services are not in the unit. They are “available in the basement,” but the basement is very full of storage items and is not really accessible.
- The spiral staircase to the bedroom is charming, but tight. If you’re a bigger person or have knee issues, this will be a challenge.
- No thermostat in the unit. We had a couple of evenings that the temperature got pretty warm and we had to open windows and run A/C while the heat continued to run. Inefficient.
All things considered, we loved our stay and would book this property again. We would plan and pack a little differently knowing the limitations, but we really did enjoy the unit.
This could not have been a more perfect place for us to stay during our most recent trip to Boston. 5 min walk to the Orange line station and into downtown quick each day. Awesome little place that captures the feel of Boston which is exactly what we were going for with our kids. Great communication with the owner and super easy checkin with everything being keyless entry. A+ property that we will look to stay at next time we are in town.
