About this property

Nassawadox Creek Waterfront Home with Private Pool

All bedrooms, living room and dining room have expansive views of Nassawadox Creek. Stroll down to the private dock for an evening drink, to fish or go crabbing. Take out one of our 2 kayaks to explore the creek and bay. When you return from exploring, jump into the newly renovated pool and sun on the deck. Note it is an unheated pool. If you need to warm up, there is a fire pit facing the water; it's a lovely place to be at sunset. There are stacks of wood on the property and guests are free to use the wood for the fire pit.

We have left a crab pot on the dock for guest use. There is a large crab cooking pot and crab and oyster utensils. There is also a gas grill.

It has a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Two bedrooms and a shared bathroom with shower tub are on the second floor. There is a half bath for guests on the first floor. This house is our family vacation home and is in a rural, quiet area. No parties are permitted.

The living room can seat 8 with 2 recliners and 2 sofas (3 seaters), one with a chaise. For rainy days, there is a Roku TV, scrabble, poker, puzzles, monopoly and Uno.

Cape Charles is a 40 minute drive. Wachapreague is 30 minutes. Chatham Vineyards is 25 minutes. Take day trips up to Chincoteague or Kiptopeke Park and retreat back to a quiet sanctuary. The nearest grocery store is 15 minutes away in Exmore, Virginia.

The kitchen was very well equipped, enough for my family and I to host Christmas dinner for 11 people. We had to bring in extra folding chairs but the owners supplied us with a folding table. It was clean, comfortable and very spacious! The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful and landscape is sublime. It was such a delight staying there! Thank you!

The Nassawadox Creek home is wonderful! The house is roomy, and well-equipped. (It even has decent kitchen knives! Usually, that kind of thing is an after-thought.)The place is great for kids, even older kids who dislike family vacations! There is a dock for fishing and crabbing (the kids caught about a dozen crab), and kayaks for the inlet. It was too cold for us to swim in the pool, but I can imagine it would be very inviting in the summer.Altogether a very nice place and we highly recommend it.

Absolutely lovely

We were able to stay a long weekend with our family that now has all young adults. Loved the house - it was the perfect size for the 5 of us, and had everything we could need. Dock was amazing for watching the sunrise and sunset, and Cape Charles was a quick drive for dinner and some shopping. Hope to come back for a longer stay!

The house and property are fantastic. Everything is perfectly presented in the listing which isn't always the case. In fact there is more than listed. The sunsets, pool, creek access, and quiet make for a perfect week in a beautiful home.

WOW, What can I say...I LOVE this rental. It definitely made me feel at home. Fun Family Getaway

Our family of two adults, one teen, one 12 year old and our dog had a great time at this property. We fished from the dock, kayaked and used our paddle board. We also enjoyed Monopoly on a rainy afternoon and playing games in the front yard. Thank you for a great time!

Finding peace at the Osprey House

We enjoyed the beautiful view of the creek and the house has wonderful amenities. The property manager kindly came over the first day to welcome us. It was a little cool for a dip in the pool, but we enjoyed sitting on the deck. We will be back!!

The property was as advertised, neat, clean, and comfortable. The pool was also clean and we were lucky enough to use it several times.Also, if you like fishing and crabbing, my 11 year old son spent hours fishing and crabbing and was successful with both. He caught over 100 crab and kept about 30 for us to enjoy. (And we did)This is also a very quiet and secluded location and enjoyed the peace and quiet all week. However we were only 15 - 20 minutes from Food Lion when we needed anything.Thank you for a very relaxing week on the Chesapeake Bay.

Wonderful vacation spot

We have been staying in the area for over 7 years, and by far, this is the best house we have ever rented. The house is comfortable and spacious. I loved having a place to put out food in the pantry. The house was well-equipped with the essentials, like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaners, beach towels, etc. The pool is amazing and the views are amazing! The water was also deep enough for our boat, which has been a challenge to find down here! We had the best time and hope to return next year!

We are a family with 3 kids and recently purchased this property to enjoy on holidays. We will retire here someday. The rental income helps us maintain the property and slowly fix it up over time. We love fishing and often catch flounder, speckled trout, bass, puppy drum and other fish in the creek.
