Amazing home in perfect location, beautifully appointed. Relaxing getaway with water views in both the front and back of property. Comfort and beauty in one spot. A gem of a find:)
The absolute perfect place to relax and unwind. House is gorgeous and was easy to host a big family dinner in. The views over the lake were so peaceful and relaxing in the morning and the sunsets were incredible. Very convenient to where family was staying in Southold and Greenport. We loved and would absolutely love to stay again!!!
Wonderfully appointed home with gorgeous views. Easy access to shops and restaurants in Greenport and quick ride to lovely beach at Orient State Park. Ann Marie is a perfect host, very responsive and helpful, and her home is immaculate! It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
this house had everything we needed.
The beach was right across the street.
Close to everything.winery, farm stands and town of greenport.
Thank you Ann Marie we enjoyed staying at your home.
Ann Marie’s house was just perfect for us! Close to Truman beach and Orient State Park with gorgeous views of lake and bay from the house! We had a restful vacation just enjoying the quiet neighborhood and beautiful house. Thanks for being such a wonderful host.
Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. The host went out of her way to be accommodating knowing we were there for my son’s wedding. She had a welcome package ready for us along with detailed instructions about the house and area. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Very well maintained property with beautiful backyard on a pond full of wildlife
The owner went out of her way to make a great first impression (welcome basket, folded towels, slippers and toiletries in each bedroom). The house is very charming and very clean. The only issue was the beach rite of way in front of the house was pretty small, especially at high tide but there are larger public beaches near by ( they have passes for Trumans Beach). Would definitely stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay at this North Fork home. The house is immaculate and so well organized! It was charming, relaxing, and had such a beachy feel to it. The views are gorgeous! Greenport is very close with access to many shops and restaurants. The Jitney is also a great means of transportation from NYC. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and just sitting by the water. Ann Marie is a wonderful host, always responsive and helpful. We look forward to returning!! Thank you.
We had 6 blissful days at Ann Marie’s lovely home - the beach across the street was small but very pleasant- the kids perfected their stand-up paddle board skills and had a great time! Meals on the gorgeous deck enjoying the wildlife were heavenly, and we had plenty of room indoors for games, cooking and relaxing with our extended family. The house was beautifully appointed, with good beds, nice linens, and wonderful cross-breezes. The third bedroom is in what we were calling ‘the honeymoon cottage’, five steps from the main house - very cute and comfortable. We all loved the outdoor shower upon our return from happy outings to Orient Beach State Park and Truman’s Beach.
Thanks Ann Marie for the lovely hospitality, we can’t wait to return!
Our party of 5 adults had an amazing time at this property. From our early communications with Ann Marie to our final dinner on the patio - each moment felt like a getaway although we were only 2 hours from home. My friends remarked while retrospectively the pictures were accurate they did not due the home and the backyard complete justice. Walking in you quickly get a view of the whole floor, including the backyard and it is stunning. The lake looks beautiful all times of day and you are guaranteed to see some type of wildlife at all hours. We spent a few mornings on the porch steps with coffee taking it all in. The beach access across the way was so easy and with the neighbors away, allowed for essentially private beach swimming! A couple friends even tried out the paddle board. Truman Beach was great, too. We were only ever one of a handful of groups there, which was really enjoyable. A caution to some that these beaches are rocky, so bring water shoes or sturdy sandals!
Back to the house - There is enough dining and sitting space for 5 adults to comfortably lounge and navigate. You could find us working and eating at the table, enjoying coffee at the bar stools, or lounging on the couches when the feels like exceeded 100 degrees. The house was cool throughout, despite the raging temperatures. We brought our own games, but there are also some stocked at the house as well. If you are an avid coffee drinker, you may want to bring a pot, as it's a Keurig. There's a wine fridge, too!
The bedrooms are spacious and as expected. The host left welcome packages on all the beds, which we felt was a great touch and made it feel all the more like a vacation. A note that the beds in the bunkbed room are firm, so if you have a finicky younger sleeper, you may want to bring a mattress pad or an extra blanket. Was not an issue for us, but an FYI for future guests.
The bathrooms in the main house both suited our needs. You have your choice of a bathtub or standing shower. We, however, found that the outdoor shower was a hit even outside of washing off from the beach and was described (this is true) by two guests, separately, as delicious. I never heard a shower described as such, but it is far superior to the outdoor showers I remember.
Overall, we would definitely return here!
