HIDDEN TREASURE. 30 miles East of Raleigh. Great for Travel Nurses!

GREAT for Travel Nurses or anyone else!! 100 year old, originally a 2 room house. Rustic, but cozy, quite and relaxing. Large bedroom and living room. Kitchen and bathroom. Covered porches all the way around. Amazing back porch to sit and drink your coffee. We are DOG FRIENDLY, and have 2 of our own that will want to make friends. There is a fenced in dog area beside the house. Original hard wood floor from 100 years ago. It is close to our pool. A great place to get away from it all for a while. Washer and dryer and absolutely any kitchen essential you may need.

Robyn's place was perfect for our visit with our pup! We enjoyed the property and visiting with her husband the day we were able to take advantage of the pool - which was the perfect temp and pristine! Will absolutely stay here again if we're in the area!

Robyn was so warm, friendly and helpful!! The rental was perfect!! Lots of charm, comfort and it was even stocked with so many essentials! It was very roomy and clean! The bed was very comfortable. To me, it was more spacious than the photos made it look. The property is gorgeous too!! The cottage is decorated with many antiques, so It brought back so many wonderful memories of my grandparents home!! I can't wait to stay there again!!

This was perfect for my husband, myself and our fur baby. I called it the Cracker Barrel cottage. It has everything you need and anything you may have forgotten! Super comfortable bed, cozy couch and peaceful porch rocking chairs. We loved cooling off in the pool with our golden and letting her get zoomies in the back yard. Robyn and Dennis are wonderful hosts. Can’t wait to come back for a visit again!

I loved how peaceful and relaxing it was. We took a walk every morning to greet the donkey and cows on the lane. The house had so much charm and had everything we could possibly need. We loved our stay.

The property is located in the country. It is quiet and scenic. The cabin is fully equipped to allow guests to cook a full-blown meal or simply enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Quiet Serene Home

Robyn and Dennis are fabulous hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area is very quiet but only 15 to 20 minutes to grocery and restaurants. We will definitely return if we need lodging in this area again!

Home Away From Home!

Robyn and Dennis have a slice of heaven here and they so graciously share it with their guests. Coffee on the porch, welcoming our dog to play with their pups, and every amenity you can think of is provided. An absolute gem of a place with the best hosts. Thank you so much. Tena, Tom, and Merle.

A Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our stay here. We came for a wedding nearby and it worked out great. It is a quaint cottage, tucked away in the backyard of Robyn's property. There is complete privacy if you wish, but full access to the pool as well, which we took advantage of as much as we could. The house may be small, but it worked very well for my husband, young daughter and I. Everything you could possibly think you need is provided, including very comfortable bedding. The covered porch and rocking chairs overlooking the wooded property was a wonderful surprise. If you love cozy quilts, antiques and Southern hospitality this is the place for you.

Doggie Dude Ranch

My third visit (so you know I love it) but the first with my dog Hank. He was in Heaven from the minute he stepped out of the car and ran into the meadow behind the house. Daily visits from the farm dog pack were the highlight of his day and he loved getting the chance to pretend to be a farm dog for a few days. He loves everything about the Cabin and is already pestering me to go back. 4 PAWS UP!

Peaceful Stay

Robyn made the rental process so easy. I enjoyed my extended stay in this peaceful corner of rural NC. A lovely quiet place with friendly people and dogs. Just a short drive to Rocky Mount or Raleigh. The cottage has everything you could need.

Felt right at home

So grateful to have found such a great place to get away and relax and be able to bring my dogs with me. The hosts were so nice and their property was exactly like it was advertised. I would definitely rent again if I made this trip in the future.

Awesome place!

If you’re wanting quiet solitude place away from the big cities this is it. Robyn has done a fantastic job decorating this 100+ year old home with lots of antiques. Time on the decks was perfect for that morning coffee, evening cocktails and bbq. We just loved it here and will come back.

Our Cottage in Heaven

The little cottage is way out in the country but is simply adorable. If you like antiques and memories of the old days this is your little heaven. Quiet and comfortable. I love walking my little dog. My dog loves his new friends. I can leave him run off the leash and play with the local dogs. This city dog has become a country dog. He loves it here. Along with my husband and me. Would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone. Then to top it off the host are really great people. They are more like family as they are so nice. We love this cottage and the country atmosphere.

The Country Cabin

We loved our stay at the little cabin, it took us back to our younger years. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. Dennis and Robyn were very hospitable.

Dog Friendly Country Getaway

Fantastic little cabin in the country. Close to fun things if you want to have adventures, but so cozy that you might just not want to leave. We spent a lot of time with our dogs on the big property, cooking in our well equipped kitchen and watching movies together. If you have dogs, I can't imagine a better place to stay. There is a dog area that is fenced in and, if your dogs have better recall than ours, you are welcome to let them run and play with the farm dogs. Robyn and her family are so great and end up being like family by the end of your stay. Plus, they will love on your dogs as much as you will let them! We really hope for the chance to come back again.

Another amazing stay

If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of the city this isn’t your place. But if you want peace, quiet and an occasional visit from the neighborhood Welcome Waggin’ this place is perfect. Beautiful location and terrific hosts. A throwback to a more relaxed time.

Why they chose this property

This is a 100 year old home I bought for $1 and had moved near our pool. I spent a year fixing it up and I love it. One of my agency nurses was staying in some rough places, so I offered for him to stay here and he really enjoyed it. Now that he is back in Tennessee, I thought someone else might like to spend some time here. :) Very quite place. Many deer and wildlife around.
