About this property

Full 3 Bedroom Lake house House on Walker Lake, Epic Sunsets Just Outside Town

We offer longer term stays in fall/winter, message us to discuss!
This house has 3 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an equipped kitchen, living room (with smart tv), deck, and sunroom. The dining room table easily seats six. We love this property and stay here ourselves when not renting it out.

Enjoy a lake getaway while being less than 5 min from the LCBO, grocery store, and local independent baker.
There's a firepit, dock, and stairs with railing into the water, and a small boat slip in the yard, making the lake accessible for kids and folks with mobility issues.

The lake is calm, leech, and slime free!
Once you leave the bay we're on, the rest of the lake is in untouched wilderness.

The mainfloor bathroom has just been completley renovated. Take in the lake views in the evening or on a rainy day in the sunroom.

The kayaks are free to use at your own risk, as is the lake - obviously. Please bring your own swimming/boating safety gear.

We are independently owned and operated and 2SLGBTQ friendly!

Lake view was wonderful

We had a wonderful time at the cottage and in the surrounding area. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Most of our time at the cottage was spent in the glass enclosed lakeside porch, enjoying the view and especially the sunsets. My wife and sister used the kayaks to explore the lake. The host was very easy to reach and provided lots of material on the local area.

The cottage is dated but with some nice features like an enclosed deck overlooking the beautiful and swimmable lake and privacy from the neighbours.Unfortunately, the cottage feels like a place you would borrow from a friend's mom for free, where you would overlook the pantry full of someone else's food, the half-used condiments in the fridge, the tiny microwave with corroded paint, the oven mitts crusted with someone else's past cooking adventures.The owner hasn't considered that a renter paying market-matched rates would expect basics like a fresh kitchen scrubber, duvet covers that aren’t dated, worn, and stained, and vacuums and brooms not clogged with pet hair.

A GREAT STAY!!!

It was exactly what we were looking for. A much needed get away. Felt at home right away. The house was clean and had everything we needed plus on a beautiful lake and quiet neighbourhood. Very close to the little town of Schreiber and enjoyed that as well. An amazing well done museum is a must to visit. Everyone you passed by in town said hello.
